High quality docking station or port expansion for your laptop or desktop
This is a really cool device that is quite needed these days. Docking stations are not new devices for laptops, but the need has never been greater. As the laptops get smaller and thinner they seem to be losing devices and ports, long gone are the days of having a DVD or CD drive as standard, similarly other ports such as VGA connectors are going or gone.So along comes this really useful and flexible docking station. Designed to be plugged into a USB C socket it is really intended for more modern laptops but gives you a great range of expansion sockets and functions. While its fairly easily portable and could be stuck in your laptop bag, I would suggest this is better used at home where you may have a monitor or two, DVD drive and various other peripherals such as a keyboard and mouse permanently connected to the docking station. So you just have to connect the Thunderbolt 3 (if you have one) or USB C lead on this to your laptop to enable and connect all the devices you use frequently.The connections supplied on the docking station include;2x 4K HDMI,1Ã VGA,USB3.0,2xUSB1.0,1x 3.5mm Audio headphone port,1xSD memory card,1xTF/microSD memory card,1xRJ45The HDMI ports offer up to 3840×2160@30Hz, and the VGA 1920X1080@60Hz extended mode under Windows systemThis docking station is also compatible with Apple Mac systems it claims, but as I don’t own one of those I can’t confirm this. Personally I tried it with both a Thunderbolt 3 enabled laptop and a desktop PC, both worked fine.The construction of the docking station is superb as you would expect, the casing being made of good gauge aluminum, this is also angled and has some grips on it so that you can wedge it under the rear of your laptop if you wish which also gives you a slightly angled keyboard which can aid typing if you like this sort of thing as well as giving a bit more space under the laptop to aid cooling.Overall I would say that this is an essential accessory for any modern laptop as it gives you so many more ports as well as making your laptop almost the equivalent of a desktop system when at home.

Build Quality:The tiny dock is very nice and has no defects. It has a nice mass and feels like a quality dock. I really like the anodized aluminum housing which matches high end electronics very well. The printing of the ports and alignment of the ports to the casing are spot on and look great like a high end dock should. I am impressed and completely satisfied with the appearance and craftsmanshipAs a dock, this just works with my Windows 10 and Windows 7 laptop. using USB and HDMI as well as teh card readers. I am not using Network at the moment but that was detected as well. I did not test the VGA but I suspect it works fine and will give me the ability to use some older devices (projectors, monitors) if I ever need them. This is a great travel hub that is quite compact and can be used as just a hub when needed.PD:I am using this for Power Distribution and it works well with my 95W power adapter and 65W laptop.Final thought:This dock works well if you only need full hd (not 4k). It is very good quality and works very well. I highly recommend it.
