Saved Me Hours of Cable Routing!
Brilliant bit of kit. Worked just as promised. Bought a security camera to replace one that wasn’t working. The old camera was powered via PoE, the new camera was powered via micro B. I really didn’t want to route the new cameras power cable through the walls and ceiling so decided to give this a try. I plugged my ethernet cable in one end of the adaptor and plugged the camera into the micro b plug. The camera powered up and works perfectly. This little gizmo has saved me hours and hours of work. Well worth the money and some!!

I originally gave this item a 3 star review claiming it wasn’t Gigabit.The seller has worked with me to show that this is not the case and I have now changed my review rating to reflect the true state.It was entirely my misunderstanding and the Seller was patient and diligent in working with me to understand the problem. Great Customer service, and as my original review stated, the adapter is excellent and solves the problem I had.Second Edit: Because of the excellent service I have now also bought a USB-C PoE variant – it’s working perfectly!

Used the “Micro USB 2.4A” variant to power and transmit data to a remote access point (over 15m). Works flawlessly and looks tidy too.

Works very well
This arrived promptly and was well packaged. I use it to power a Raspberry Pi at the far end of a 50M Cat 6 Ethernet cable. It works well with no effect on TCP retries. The Pi receives 5.1V on load. Good value for money so I have no hesitation in recommending it.

WARNING! No POE passthrough.
This product does not have POE passthrough: it blocks the 48v power from getting to the RJ45 output lead. This makes it unsuitable for our purposes.

Got this to split out POE for a Firewalla box on my ISR, has been going strong for a year or so – no issues and if I needed to break out USB power again for anything else would definately buy another.

It powers up the USB but the network does not work.To the manufacturer / seller… Please (for whatever it’s worth)… “TEST” the product before sending out, is that too much to ask for !?

These are great to power things with your POE switch without the need of extra power adapters! Just make sure to read the out put on the model you select to make sure it can actually power your device. Once good use case is for a raspberry pi, cheaper solution instead of a pi hat.

TenÃa una cámara ip que dispone de conector rj45 pero no es poe. Se alimenta mediante conexión micro usb con un transformador. En el lugar donde querÃa instalarla no hay cerca tomas de alimentación donde enchufar el transformador de la cámara. Estaba pensando en pasar cables eléctricos e instalar una toma de corriente cerca del dispositivo. Pero recordé que existÃa este tipo de elementos que pueden separar la señal de datos de la eléctrica en una conexión poe. Tengo un switch poe para los AP de la red. Asà que la solución era comprar este splitter. El cable de red sale del switch poe y lo llevo a la caja de superficie de la cámara por los tubos pasacables. En la caja de conexiones está el splitter que divide la alimentación y la señal de datos mediante sus cables independientes que se conectan al puerto micro usb y rj45 de la cámara… ¡A FUNCIONAR! Aunque la cámara no llega al Gbps, prefiero que el splitter lo soporte ya que nunca se sabe si se irá a otro dispositivo. En mi caso, me resulta más sencillo pasar cable de red que eléctrico y, además, puedo aprovechar el switch poe. Un producto genial para su función.

Durante tiempo he comprado PoE Splitters para distintos dispositivos de red que no disponen de dicha función integrada, desde Raspberry Pi hasta conversores o dispositivos de bajo consumo (USB Servers, sensores ambientales, etcâ¦). Pero la mayorÃa de PoE Splitters del mercado a precio razonable eran sólo 10/100 y no Gigabit, lo cual supone un problema para dispositivos que necesitan la conexión a Gigabit.Y este producto precisamente me ha aportado eso: el poder utilizarlo con todo tipo de dispositivos y con un precio razonable. En casi todas las instalaciones de red ya hay switches PoE en los que muchas veces quedan puertos PoE libres y que se pueden utilizar para alimentar dispositivos, bien directamente en el propio armario de rack o en puntos remotos donde si podemos llevar un cable ethernet pero no tomas de corriente. Y este producto y otros similares con otros conectores (USB-C, USB-A, mini USB, DC, etcâ¦) permiten poder alimentar dispositivos y utilizarlos sin más que un cable.

Acheté pour alimenter une passerelle TADO qui plantait de temps en temps en étant alimentée par le port USB d’un mini PC. A voir dans le temps si mon problème venait de là , mais en tous cas le produit remplit parfaitement son rôle et permet d’améliorer un peu le cable management !
