Perfect solution to light up landing for visually-impaired person
Our family member has recently become severely sight-impaired and one of the consequences of this was that they were struggling with getting to the bathroom and back to their bedroom at night. Without the landing light on, they were regularly walking into the door-frame as they couldn’t see/balance well enough to avoid it, and as the landing light-switch is at the opposite end of the hall from their bedroom door, we were having to leave the landing light on all night long. (A standard plug-in night-light wouldn’t have provided a strong enough light.) This motion-sensor LED strip turned out to be the perfect solution. The light now comes on when there is any movement on the landing and, being a hands-free solution, allows them to use both hands for balance as they move along the hall.Our landing is long and narrow, with the stairs coming up one side. We decided to position the motion sensor in the corner at one end of the landing so that it picks up motion all the way down the landing – including at the bathroom door, which is about 4 metres away, as well as being triggered by motion on near the top of the stairs – so as someone’s head appears above the banister on the stairs, the light comes on. We don’t have an electrical socket on the landing where the motion sensor is placed, but the power-cord is thin enough to wrap around the base of the door-frame into a bedroom and still allow the door to close. Our only issue was that the motion sensor came loose once or twice – but the surface it is attached to is unevenly-painted, and we easily solved this problem by gluing a drawing-pin to the back of the motion sensor and pressing that into the wooden door-frame.The LEDs are very bright and we decided to stick the strip across the tops of the door-frames along the landing, facing upwards and bouncing the light off the ceiling. This has worked really well for us – it means the area is still brightly-lit without the leds shining directly in your face, and also means that even if the stickiness fades with time, gravity will help keep it in place, and it’s not going to damage any visible paintwork or wallpaper if/when it comes down.The light can be set to turn on for varying lengths of time, and to operate or not operate during daylight, so has been perfect over the winter when our landing is dim for most of the day. As we’ve adjusted to our family member’s new needs, this has been a relatively cheap, and completely effective solution. We have rarely turned on the ceiling-light since installing this – it’s just not needed. As people tend to leave our front hall light on all night, we are about to install another one of these in the hall too, and possibly in other areas of the house. This would be an excellent solution for marking the edges of stairs etc too, particularly for anyone with vision problems.Highly-recommended.

Great alternative to cutting holes in walls and paying for a sparky
Just finished installing them. (2x sets of 5m) Pretty tricky on turns and corners but looks great when they’re on. Can’t comment on electric consumption or durability for obvious reasons.

Lights are brilliant
Bought these for my conservatory to replace fairy lights. The lights were very easy to put up and stuck down really well. Am assuming they are referring to what I would call a light switch as the remote control. This again stuck down well, the only issue with adhesion is the clips to hold cables in place – I have temporarily taped them down. The only instruction I could find to dim the lights was to press and hold the switch. I did this briefly, nothing happened but I was worried lights may get stuck in the dimmed position so gave up trying. This is not a function I would use so not really qualified to comment. Feel instructions could be made a little more clear.

Easy to set up and extremely effective!
Just brilliant. Using them everywhere now. This is just the loft but I’ll upload others as and when they’re all finished. Sensor is perfectly sensitive, lights are marvellously warm but bright enough and no switch to fumble about for in the dark.

Worked well at the start……
These look great and worked very well until around month 11. The sensor now doesn’t work and will just randomly switch on during the night. Disappointed to be honest as they aren’t cheap

Motion sensor LED Strip
Bought this strip to put under kitchen cabinets. Really pleased with the quality and outcome easy to install just needs a little planning to set up. Sensor is added bonus and lights come on straight away and go out after 1 minute after leaving. Highly recommended for small areas

Purchased two of this 5m LED Strip package late last year (2023) only managed to installed both in Feb 2024 and now (April 2024) one of them the LED strip died. only one out of five meter of the trip light up. We are hoping that the Seller seeing this review will back their product up and send us a replacement. We will update the review post if they do to let Buyer know if they are an honourable Seller.Other than that the product work well and LED strip is very bright.

Umrundet bei uns im Flur eine Anrichte.Funktioniert super. Gut finde ich, dass man die Lichtdauer einstellen kann, auch kann man einstellen ob es nur im Dunkeln bei Bewegung oder generell bei Bewegung angeht. Allerdings einen Punkt abzug, da es recht hell ist und es keine Einstellung gibt um die Helligkeit einzustellen.
