Affordable, Versatile Tripod that get’s the job done
Nice tripod. My other one broke as it was one of those ones with bendy legs but it doesn’t take long till the legs break off because they aren’t very durable so I’m glad I have something sturdier. It was trying to copy the gorillapod I guess but those are genuinely sturdy and still have those. This tripod sill feels cheap and cheerful but it does the job and that’s good enough for me. I just use for when I’m making video calls with my smart phone as a webcam as I use a desktop. It’s nice that it can be used as a selfie stick, extended nice and long and also used as a tripod when you want a stationary shot. Very versatile. It’s kinda like a cheaper alternative to what I use for my DJI Action Camera, just for my smart phone instead. Great purchase that I’m sure I’ll be getting a lot of use out of for many years to come. I was even pleasantly surprised to find out it has a remote control that comes with it which I won’t need most of the time but handy to have if I want to take group photos or something every now and then.

I bought this to shoot video from different angles using a variety of cameras. I am likely to use an action camera on this one and it has a screw in thread. For that it has reasonable stability and it can be extended to a good height. It’s reasonably lightweight which is a factor as I will carry it with other gear in my backpack. The main parts are sturdy the central extendable pole is a good fit and holds position, other parts are plastic, the feet which also form the grip are sturdy. The phone caddy can be secure and a good fit depending on what size of phone you have. The bracket for the caddy is I think though too fragile and will break. the stays for the feet also seem a little fragile too and may break if they don’t open or close correctly. I haven’t tried the remote yet but it’s probably fairly useful. Despite the drawbacks it does what I need it to do as I will be using the screw thread rather than the caddy and for me it’s a balance as I did not want to spend too much so it’s the right balance of cost and quality even if that is slightly limited. The box arrived damaged probably as a result of it being a return although it was sold as being new, which was disappointing but the contents were fine.
