How is this different to the NT1 5th Generation?
The NT1 Signature Series features the same enhanced analog circuitry as the NT1 5th Generation, but it does not feature the 32-bit float digital output of the latter.
What comes with the NT1 Signature Series?
Alongside the microphone itself, the NT1 Signature Series ships with a shock mount, pop filter and a 6-metre XLR cable.
Does the NT1 Signature Series require phantom power?
Yes. Like most condenser microphones, the NT1 Signature Series requires 48V phantom power (P48).
How can I connect this to my computer?
You will need a USB audio interface with an XLR input that can supply P48 phantom power, such as the RØDE AI-1.
How do I aim the microphone at what I’m recording?
The NT1 Signature Series is a side-address microphone, so you should aim your sound source or voice at the gold dot on the side of the microphone.

Cracking microphone . A little bit of an update
Where do I begin this is a great microphone that will cover most situations brilliantly. Weither your are using it for vocals or acoustic instruments it’ll do the job. The other thing is that is included are the good quality shock mount and and mic lead plus a little microphone cover and the price is very fair. You will not be disappointed ððððð. I have been using this microphone over the last few days. And it has surpassed all my expectations ðððð

Arrived in bad condition
Just got my order – left outside on a wet step, despite there being a secure parcel box next to the step and detailed on my account.

It’s a well built mic with a flatish curve across most frequencies. Sound is a little bright up top without being brittle. I have put it through a couple of preamps and it takes color well (I tried 1073 and API style). Very clear in both voiceover and vocal tests I tried. Xlr only, no USB like its big brother so you’ll need a mixer or interface. It’s a condenser so you’ll need 48v phantom power. Comes with a pop filter and a shockmount that both work well, which are great additions. If you have an interface, it sounds just like the USB/XLR fifth Gen version so save some money and get this one. It’s nothing like the nt2a so if that’s what you’re looking for then it’s best to look elsewhere. On an unimportant note, I happen to like the nice pop of color in my tiny project studio where everything is grey or black.
