Installed and worked fine in my Baxi Duo-Tec 28, at a good price.
Installed and setup without any problems at all. It replaced a Salus RT501rf and the transmitter in the Baxi Duo Tec 28.The notifications of what is going on is on the screen OK, perhaps a little smaller and different icons, so look for them when you first use it. Programs in a similar manner. For my use, all the connections were the same as the old one, and the new transmitter identical in size.Would definitely buy from this seller again.

Great retrofit to replace old timer
I’m a renter in a house that has one of those old fashioned mechanical timers as the only way to control the heating. We had no thermostatic valves on our radiators, nor a thermostat, and our landlord was reluctant to change that – so having found this from some research I decided to be cheeky and fit it to our boiler. It was incredibly easy to fit, take the front boiler cover off, open the plastic container for the timer, inspect the circuit diagram for the old clock installation (and take photos of where the wires were) and copy where the wires were connected on the new boiler module. It’s really simple and only involves mucking around with 4 wires. Then close everything up.Do a quick test by switching the button on the boiler module to the filled-in circle (fully-on mode, ignores the thermostat and just runs 100% of the time) and ensure the boiler turns on and off according to this button. Then switch this back to the hollow circle once you’ve checked that works. Then put the batteries in the thermostat itself, it comes with 2xAA. You shouldn’t need to sync anything as it should come synced to the boiler module out the box (although sync instructions are included anyway should there be a problem with this).Setup of the temperature profiles wasn’t too challenging. There are videos online if you struggle. The thermostat has mounting feet for a freestanding placement (for example, on a shelf or a mantlepiece), or it can be mounted to the wall. Since we’re in a rental property the freestanding feet were an advantage. Now we’re perfectly heated whenever we want and only for as long as necessary, rather than heated between 5-7am and 6-10pm regardless of the actual room’s temperature! This should save us a fortune and avoid under/over heating. Excellent bit of kit to allow thermostat use without having to run new wires.

    Satrted badly ended well
On initial order and installation the product was just what we needed to replace an old mechanical timer on a boiler in a room only accessible from the outside. Simple to fit, exactly the right size and shape for the existing control panel and more importantly the same easy to fit wiring.Initial pairing with the thermostat was simple and programming whilst long winded was OK, we used the 7 day option so it would be a lot quicker using the 5/2 option.Sadly that’s when we started to have some problems after functioning for a day the thermostat started to lose its connection and after adjusting the jumper settings on the back to eliminate any interference it still wouldn’t pair in a stable fashion. This is a long process with 5 pins in any combination to work through, very frustrating. However having carried out this process to eliminate the fact it was interference not a faulty unit the supplier quickly agreed to send a replacement unit and collect the faulty unit on the next day, very impressed by this service. New unit now functioning well and we’re enjoying a warm house and not having to go outside to the boiler to adjust the heating.Once or twice it has dropped the connection but simply adjusting the temperature setting on the thermostat will cause it to reconnect to the boiler.Range is OK nowhere near the 70m advertised, perhaps more like 10m if you have a couple of walls in the way, but this is adequate for what we want.So in summary, great idea, easy to fit, good service though marks off for an initial faulty unit and range being quite a bit shorter than advertised.

    Easy to fit.
Firstly I want to say I am crâp at any electrics. This thermostat was the easiest electrical device I’ve any attempted. There are 4 wires that come with spade connectors already fitted. You’ve got positive and negative ( easy ) then 2 black wires that are the switch. You can not got wrong. I’ve replaced a Baxi old style clock thermostat and it’s much better.I’ve already ordered another for another boiler that only has an inbuilt timer/thermostat.

Easy to fit, looks good, works well.
What a great bit of kit!The manufacturer states this will fit Baxi, Potterton and Ideal boilers. It fits my boiler perfectly, with the receiver replacing the built in mechanical timer. For my Ideal Logic Combi plus, fitting was easy: TURN OFF POWER to boiler, loosen Phillips screw either side of boiler front, release metal tabs, remove front of boiler, plate around mechanical timer comes away, undo screws holding timer in place, for each of the four terminals remove from timer and plug onto receiver, 4 screws to attach receiver to plate, & put front of boiler back on. Took around 5 mins. Then pair the receiver with the thermostat: hold down small grey button on front of receiver until led flashing, hold select button on thermostat until SY appears on display and then the receiver gives a quick double flash and stops flashing.Check receiver is on the “white circle” setting, turn up temp on thermostat until flame icon flashes and watch LED light on receiver and boiler fire up.Then take the thermostat away and program it. It’s a bit odd that you set 5 desired temperature times rather than the conventional 4 setting on/off on/off times. If you want it to come on and of in the more conventional way just set it with: point 1 as time to come on and desired temperature, point 2 as time to go off and 5 deg, point 3 time to come on and desired temp, point 4 as time to go off and 5 deg, point 5 an hour after point 4 and 5 deg.
