I had bought smart bulbs previously which worked via wi fi/bluetooth via an app but this bulb even when you download apps suggested you also require It appears a matter hub or compatible appliance such as a tv or a dongle connected to you tv so without additional cost I’ve accepted I have a functional light bulb which one day I might be able to use as a smart bulb. In future I will read the description carefully

Super easy set up, my best prime day bargain
I’ve set this up in my son’s room as a reminder tool: I have automation that turns it on with a specific colour at a specific time. It works perfectly. Colours seem a little too washed out in Google Home, but Home Assistant gets really deep colours so I don’t think it’s the bulb’s fault.Setup was a breeze, I did need to switch my phone to 2Ghz WiFi, you might too if you have separate SSIDs for your bands. A couple of minutes though and it was done.

Easy to set up – but 2 broken bulbs
Very easy to set up and link to your Google home network, the whole process is done in less than a minute! You can easily set each bulb to different rooms and control them individually. Overall great product, although there doesn’t appear to be a great range of colours, and also a fair amount of confusion with colours. For example, if you set the lights to red they will turn pink, blue to green etc.The only real issue we have had is that 2 out of 4 of our bulbs were damaged in the box, when taking them out of the box they were rattling and do not work when plugged in. All of the packaging was completely undamaged so this was obviously an issue during manufacturing.
