I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a fast way to store files.
It works great as an external drive that you can literally put into your pocket if you wanted to. The speed of drive is a bit slower than expected as I have only seen it do 300mb/s or 400 max. The storage also seems to be not 2tb like it says instead it is 1.8tb which I think is misleading by itself. Last thing, I didn’t had any problems so far when using it, I will keep updating if I anything new pops up that needs addressing. At this point I would recommend buying it if you want more storage to work with and have a fast way to transfer your files.

I’ve been able to organise and store everything that I’ve needed to from audio files to plug-in libraries to video content. I’ve also been able to work directly from this SSD as if it was the drive built into my M1 MacBook Air without noticing any decrease in speed.The rugged design gives me peace of mind, knowing that my data is safe even if I’m working in different environments or traveling between studios. Plus, the 2TB capacity provides ample space for all my current projects without worrying about running out of storage any time soon.

Sono stato parecchio indeciso se prendere questo modello, più resistente ma anche qualche cm più grande e qualche grammo più pesante, rispetto al T7 sempre samsung o un altro paio di modelli di altre note marche, più piccoli e leggeri ma appunto meno resistenti, e devo dire che sono soddisfattissimo della scelta fatta. Questo ssd infatti si presenta comunque sempre piccolissimo e leggero (si parla sempre di grammi), esteticamente molto appagante e anche molto piacevole al tatto da maneggiare con la sua copertura in gomma, e a fronte di qualche gr in più degli altri, si vede e si percepisce che è molto molto resistente, oltre che alle cadute e agli urti, anche alla polvere e agli schizzi di acqua, e questa cosa mi da maggiore sicurezza e tranquillità nel maneggiarlo e sopratutto portarlo in giro con me senza troppe preoccupazioni, visto che il mio scopo e portarlo praticamente sempre con me nello zaino sia per le uscite giornaliere di lavoro che in viaggio, per metterci tutto senza riempire la memoria del Mac e ogni tanto per svuotare la memoria dell’Iphone 15 direttamente, grazie alla porta UsbC senza fare troppi giri come facevo prima.Premetto che non sono uno smanettone da benchmark, quindi i test precisi sulla velocità li lascio fare ad altri, qui preferisco fare una recensione diciamo più pratica sul come mi ci sto trovando dal punto di vista della semplicità, praticità e facilità nell’ uso quotidiano, e devo dire che su questo niente da dire. Si collega super velocemente sia al Mac che all’Iphone 15 pro, e riguardo alla velocità, posso dire solo che ho scaricato parecchie gb che avevo sull’Iphone in maniera per quanto mi riguarda molto veloce e senza intoppi, e che col Macbook Air ci faccio montaggi video leggeri con Final Cut direttamente tramite lui salvando tutto sulla memoria di questo ssd e il tutto è sempre molto fluido. In più ovviamente, per chi ha da Iphone 15 in su, possiamo fare video in Pro Res salvandoli direttamente sull’ssd.Comodo il fatto che nella scatola troviamo anche 2 cavetti, di buona fattura, uno da UsbC a UsbC, e l’altro da UsbA a UsbC.Chiudo col dire che una caratteristica che mi piace particolarmente riguardo al fatto che sia ricoperto in gomma (motivo principale per cui ho scelto questo), è che durante l’uso si puà appoggiare ovunque senza che cada perché fa molto grip sulle superfici, e che possa essere anche appoggiato direttamente sul Mac stesso senza rischiare di graffiarlo come avverrebbe invece con quelli in metallo non ricoperti. In generale scalda anche molto poco, e penso questo sia dovuto anche al fatto che essendo ricoperto in gomma si percepisca poco il calore.Conclusioni: totalmente soddisfatto di questo ssd, super resistente, resistente a cadute acqua e polvere, superficie gommata molto piacevole al tatto che non scivola e non si graffia, non graffiando a sua volta le superfici su cui lo appoggiamo compreso soprattutto il computer. Veloce, piccolo e leggero, però, essendo “corazzato”, tenete conto che chiaramente pesa qualche gr in più rispetto ai classici, quindi se siete tipi che lo usano prevalentemente a casa potreste anche optare per quello senza scudo, ma se come me lo prendete prevalentemente per portarlo sempre con voi consiglio questo per per stare più tranquilli. Works well, with fast transfers over USB C. I am mildly disappointed that the included cable is becoming a bit loose in the USB socket, so I am tending to use other cables. This is the 3rd of these drives that I have bought.
