Donât bother if you want direct iOS file access – it doesnât work
Itâs going back.New Sandisk app does not allow access for iOS apps like Files, photos or media players. This was the only function, that was advertised by sandisk, that I wanted from the device. Do not want backup just additional storage. It doesnât work despite sandisk tech support telling me I needed to format the device with windows even though I had followed the setup process and already created folders ready for file access. These folders were visible in the app AND in windows when I plugged into my pc which means there was no need to format the device.So, device doesnât do what was advertised and tech support donât know what they are talking about – not a great experience but glad I found out before my holidays when I would need to use the storage!

Für diejenigen die Bilder von Ihrem Iphone/ipad mit USB-C ziehen wollen ist es geeignet, allergings ist es nicht wie früher bei den iPhones mit lightning Anschlüssen und der iXpad App von San Disk. Damals konntest du alle oder ausgewähle Bilder auf den USB-Stick ziehen und problemlos auf dem Windows PC anschauen. Bei diesem Produkt nun ist nur ein vollständiges Back-up der Bilder möglich. Desweiteren sind die bilder nicht mehr in dem gleichen Datentyp, somit wird eine extra kostenpflichte App benötigt um die Bilder anzusehen. Leider hat sich das Produkt zu seinen Vorgängern somit in der Handhabung verschlechtert.

Da mein neues Handy keinen Lightning Anschluss mehr hatte und die Adapter nicht funktionierten, musste ich einen neuen Stick bestellen: Ich habe jetzt erst gelesen, das die sehr gute Ixpand App von San Disk im März keinen Support mehr erhält. Die war super, man konnte die einzelnen Tage auswählen, die man von den Fotos kopieren wollte.Die Memory Zone ist grottenschlecht. Gegen den Stick kann ich hier nichts sagen, der macht was er soll, aaaaber wenn die App Schrott ist, hilft der beste Stick nicht. Man kann zwar auch Fotos kopieren, aber entweder alle oder jeweils einzeln. Nicht nutzbar. Ich habe San Disk (gehören mittlerweile zu WD) gemailt, wenn die ixpand App nicht mehr gehen wird, würde ich diesen Stick zurückschicken und nach was anderem schauen.

Mit diesem Stick und der entsprechenden App ist die Datensicherung auf Ipone und IPad Geräten sehr einfach.
