Great printer
This is a useful printer for one-off labels or for runs of labels from a spreadsheet of data. This is the second one I’ve had. Easy to transfer the data file from computer to another – just copy the labels.sll file. I thought it had died on me recently, but found it was just an update to Win 10 that was upsetting it – got round it by transferring to another computer but maybe I could have updated the driver.

Purchased this in March 2017. Produced approximately 10 labels a month and now, October, it has ceased working and is completely dead…Not value for money.

Neat label printer… B U T ……..
Now onto my third – I still ask myself WHY?… It is a great label printer BUT there is a repeating problem and that is the labels can get jammed. Usually when one tries to rewind half a label that has stopped. Seiko no longer do repairs but a firm in Kent do them – Unicomp – believe me its a right fiddle trying to get the label out or part of and also there is an amount of sticky stuff left. If you want to know how to do this see YouTube – really fiddly. But for this problem I would have given it 5 Stars. Also, I obtained a quote to have this minor repair done – £60.00+ – May as well buy a new printer then?

The Seiko SLP is a specialty address/label printer which is easy to use and functions flawlessly. Labels do tend to fade if left exposed for several years.

Got this up and running physically but running it and the software was a useless cause. Contacted tech support and no on like documention for it. Tech guy seemed annoyed I called. Didn’t call again. I am pretty good on tech stuff but this was awful. Returned it. Bought a Dymo and works great.Dave

poor way to download to my computer were is the disk do download load to my computor was and in a great mood I said smart label 100 I was on the computor over 2 hr trying to get this to work its going back
