Easy to setup, especially if you already have a hub
Bought these to add to another existing hub. I hopped I could use the old hub and these and I wasn’t disappointed. The new bulbs work fine with the old hub and now I have a spare hub too.The app is easy to use and you can set brightness and timers etc or just remotely turn the bulbs on when you are out. Also works fine with Alexa too.

Great replacement for basic timer lighting as well as Alexa integration.
I purchased 3 of these kits whilst on offer. Great value at that price and integration with Alexa was very easy. The basic app is good too so ideal for simple timer replacement too.None of the units would work on wifi alone hence 4 out of 5

Turn on the living room light….its life on the enterprise but in my own house!
So it begins….Picked up a starter pack on a multiple buy discounted deal and who knows where my smart home journey goes next, never mind when it will finish!These bulbs were where it all started, soooooo easy to set up, bright enough & really nice colour, not that eyeball piercing light that begins to eat in to your skull after a while, you know what i mean! looks cool on front of car or the like but not in the light socket in you happy place.Extra bonus, these have an in built dimmer function that works great!I set everything up in the simple to use Sengled app then alexa took over, I enabled the Sengled skill & the rest was seamless! From smart home novice to voice control guru in a matter of days!Only one problem so far…. after lights came, plugs, then echo dots start multiplying followed by infra red controllers!! Iâm fully down the rabbit hole and itâs getting deeper!Maybe more accurate wording…. From smart home novice to voice control & automation obsessive in a matter of days!

Oldie but works
First thing first. I have not used the hub provided, have not downloaded the sengled app nor any new apps. I simply connected to my Echoâs built in zigbee hub direct.The bulbs did not automatically enter pairing mode so it was time to quickly turn on and off at least 10 times. This is quickly too, I tried on/off timings linked to seconds and that was too slow. On the plus though I did way more than 10 quickly and it went into pairing mode ok. So itâs just flicking on and off enough quickly.Once in pairing mode my echo easily found it just by following the steps to add a sengled bulb. It pairs and allows functionality to dim with no skills or other apps needed.Now obviously this is older tech that looks like it may be in the process of being phased out for multicoloured Wi-Fi bulbs. All it does is turn/off and set brightness level. No colours, no shades, just that.But itâs a zigbee bulb, it works, itâs bright and itâs very cheap for zigbee. It also comes with a hub if you need it. As I wanted zigbee specifically and have no interest in colours this ticks all the boxes for me and at a price thatâs right. Reliability obviously needs time to judge.So if you have an existing zigbee network or want to use the hub for a standard led bulb with dimming on a smart network, this is a good buy at a good price. If you donât have Zigbee functionality, donât want the hub and want colours as well as dimming you need to look for a Wi-Fi option.As I wanted non colour changing on existing zigbee network from the built in Echo hub, this is perfect at a great price. So much so that Iâm getting a spare while available

It works
Ok I know that title is bland but I’m stuck in the middle with this one the bulbs and the price are great the software/hardware set up was a nightmare and it can only be controlled by one one phone at a time so if the other half is out no dimmer or remote control.As for getting it to work with Alexa only with a later versions if you like I have a perfectly good original dot forget it I gave up before something got broken.

Excellent product – very easy to set up
This is a really great product. I bought this as I wanted to try smart home devices as a speak I bought had Alexa built in. I am using these bulbs in table and floor lights in my living room and they have an exellent warm hue.+really simple set up using the Sengled app for iOS and Android – simply plug the hub into the back of the router+Ability to set timers and schedules via the app+ Ability to set scences – preprogrammed settings for movies, candlelight and dim lighting+ multiple users can be logged into the account so family members can control+works brilliantly with Alexa+bulbs can be grouped by room

Don’t buy
OK, had another crack at getting these going today, can use with the sengled android app but not with alexa. When you try to install the skill it just comes up ‘Unable to link at this time – try again later’. Wouldn’t normally take the time to write a super neg review of this stuff only the last time I tried to set it up, it took me to what looked very much like an amazon login page and asked for credentials. I’m guessing the alexa app already has these. Then when I went to the open apps screen on the phone, the app that was asking for the credentials was the sengled app. All very dodgy and was on a very special offer £6? So, don’t buy it, don’t waste your time on it and, for gods sake don’t type in any important passwords.

Not bad
With the additional base needing plugged into the router, it is a bit of a pain to set up if everything isnât in the same room as where you plan to have the bulbs. Can take a little bit of time, but itâs easy enough.
