It’s an OK soundbar, good but not amazing sound quality, it does it’s job well but the wall mount brackets are a bit of a joke so if you’re looking for a soundbar to hang it on a wall, buy something else.The brackets are way too tall making about 5 centimeters gap between the soundbar and the wall (that’s due to power cable plug in the back that’s parpendicular to the soundbar, bad design) which makes the soundbar look just stupid when hung on the wall.

I purchased this “As New” from StudentComputers for £45 when the Amazon new price was £75 – subsequently Amazon reduced the price in the Spring Sale to £49 (but it has since returned to the original £75)….Anyway, I am very happy. The soundbar arrived next day in full commercial packaging (though the seals had been opened as advertised). Everything was wrapped and pristine with all accessories present and sealed. ie. The device was “As New” as promised.I was going to fix the soundbar to the front of the shelf just below our new “bedroom” Hisense Smart TV. However, this wasn’t necessary as it just fitted below the TV on the shelf. As such, I didn’t need to use the supplied brackets and screws etc.I used a new HDMI cable (alas, not supplied) to connect to the TV’s HDMI-ARC socket and the corresponding socket on the soundbar. I then connected the UK power lead and turned the device on.The TV immediately recognised the new CEC device and now uses the soundbar for all audio.As such, the TV remote now conveniently controls the soundbar volume and power. ie. As regards use with the TV, the soundbar’s own remote control is redundant. It is useful when I use say, a Bluetooth connection with my mobile or tablet, or for adjusting Bass and/or Treble.Sound quality (particularly the base) is surprisingly good for a soundbar in this price range. It’s not up to Bose standards but is very acceptable in a small room and certainly a whole lot better than the TV speakers…..So I had absolutely no issues – and I am rather chuffed. ðððððNOTE. There appears to be some confusion when using the HDMI-ARC connection to a TV. In this configuration, no other cables (Optical, AUX/RCA etc) are required. The audio signal is passed via the HDMI cable.I did find that an old HDMI cable I had in a drawer did not work. A new HDMI (2.0) works perfectly. ARC and CEC need to be enabled on the TV. On our Hisense TV, they were enabled by default – see photo.

Got this for a Christmas gift for my Sister.Set it up all ready for her tv. Sounds amazing. Nice crisp and loud.Very easy to set up. No issues at all. Remote is easy to use too.I like the sound.Giving it a solid 5-5. Well worth it….. Recommended.

Cheap rubbish
Where do these 5 star reviews come from? This is by far the worst sound-bar I have ever heard. The tv has a better sound without it.I am extremely disappointed in this well known brand putting out such a load of rubbish, I know itâs cheap but this product is the biggest rip off ever, it came with no instructions no wall mounting brackets or screws and no cables except the one power cable.Buy if you like but you will be very disappointed in the sound and what comes in the package, spend a bit more and get decent sound.It is now ten months later.The soundbar will no longer play sound from the TV and when I spoke to Amazons ‘technical’ department they said that sharpe reconise this as a fault and Amazon would refund me within 1 hour of the collection of the faulty item, it is now 22 hours after the collection and still no refund and no soundbar either.my advise would be buy from elsware and not a cheap Sharpe soundbar, splash out and get a good one.

This arrived on time and well packed, easy to set up I think because it worked perfectly when I had it on sky but it would not work with netflix or amazon prime. On these two channels there was no sound this was on optical. I tried several different ways but no successs. It is a mixed message for my ratings but that is how I see it and sadly I returned it for a refund which was no problem.

I know a lot of people want a booming bass sound but I found the bass vibrations so over the top (in movie or music EQ mode) that they were almost painful. I needed a slim soundbar and this one was quite cheap but if I was going purely on sound experience I would definitely have returned it.

Anschluss hat mich einige Zeit und Nerven gekostet aber letztendlich bin ich sehr zufrieden. Das generelle Problem: HDMI ARC funktioniert erst nach PCM Aktivierung in Audio Einstellungen des (Philips) TV (sehr wichtig!) und das Geräte Pairing muss generell funktionieren. Schaltet man den TV aus und wieder ein ist diese PCM Einstellung im TV wieder gelöscht und muss wieder erneut unter Audio Einstellungen eingegeben werden. Dies scheint ein generelles Problem zu sein was sich nicht nur auf mein Paar Sharp und Philips bezieht – auch andere Geräteverbindungen zwischen anderen Markenherstellern sind hiervon nicht gefeit was man in Foren immer wieder lesen kann. Ursache des Problems, das Pairing /verbinden der Geräte nach Einschaltung hat Versatz (Anmeldung des Sharp via HDMI ARC an TV). TV registriert die fehlerhafte Syncrosierung und schaltet wieder auf die alten TV Einstellungen zurück. Damit ich nicht immer wieder die Audio Einstellungen des TVs erneut einrichten muss bin ich auf ein optisches Kabel (Toslink) als Verbindung TV / Sharp übergegangen. Dies funktioniert hervorragend, man muss nun die Lautstärke via Sharp Fernbedienung verändern. Was ich daraus gelernt habe, um mögliche Pairing Probleme zwischen verschiedenen Geräten zu vermeiden sollte man bevorzugt Komponenten von einem Hersteller verwenden. Diese sind/sollten zumeist gut aufeinander abgestimmt sein. Nach dieser Lernerfahrung kann ich aber trotzdem sagen, dass das Sharp Gerät ein exzellentes Gerät für einen relativ niedrigen Preis darstellt. Ich würde es auf jeden Fall wieder kaufen, die Audio Qualität im Vergleich zu den verbauten Lautsprechern im Philips TV hat sich massiv gesteigert. Der Bluetooth Betrieb funktioniert ebenfalls problemlos. Daher absolute Kaufempfehlung von mir nach “Lessons Learned”.

I’m not much of a soundquality expert. But when i did build my tv in the wall i needed a soundbar. Even for someone who doesn’t really recognize the difference in quality between soundsystems it is a direct pleasant upgrade from the tv-boxes to this soundbar.

Ich war auf der Suche nach einer günstigen Soundbar die aber auch möglichst kein Chinaschrott sein sollte und einen bekannten Markennamen tragen sollte , da fiel mein Augenmerk auf dieses Produkt der Firma SHARP.Ausgepackt , in Minutenschnelle angeschlossen und installiert . Hatte zuerst einige Probleme da 2 HDMI Kabel nicht funktionierten es dann aber nach einigem Hin Und Her endlich lief.Hier kommt auch schon mein erster Kritkpunkt : Was hat sich der Hersteller nur bei der Konstruktion der Fernbedienung gedacht ? Total unförmig und klobig ! Ausserdem fällt sie andauernd auf die Seite wenn sie keinen festen Grip hat. Fettes Double Dislike !! xDKritikpunkt Nr.2 : Die Soundbar schaltet sich nicht automatisch aus wenn der Fernseher ausgeht. Man muss immer erst manuell nachhelfen ! Geht mal gar nicht. So spart man keine Energie , liebes SHARP Team,heutzutage sollte man Strom wie ein Luxusgut behandeln , nur dann benutzen wenn es unbedingt nötig ist !Sonst vom Sound her kann man jedoch nicht meckern , Höhen,Bass und Tiefen werden gut wiedergegeben und bei Actionfilmen oder Fantasyblockbustern kracht es ordentlich wenn es mal etwas mehr hoch geht . Geteste Filme / Serien :- Star Trek Picard- Star Wars Rebels- The Expendables- Deadpool- Hellboy 2- The Fast and the Furious- The Commuter- Saw- Sturm der LiebeNachrichten und Sport – Klangwiedergabe der Reporter / innen Stimmen klasse.Alles in einem , Kaufempfehlung ja nur wer sich an den genannetn Kritkpunkten stört sollte lieber Ausschau nach einem anderen Produkt halten.
