    Very nice sound
I was looking for wired ear phones that don’t sound “tinny” or the usual lacking any bass and the Shure Aonic 3 just fit the bill. I saw a positive review in one of the popular hi-fi magazines and thought I would risk the purchase. They were delivered on time and I eagerly plugged them into my Surfans F20 Hifi mp3 player and was very pleased with the first time play. In-ear fitting is a bit fiddly but the numerous foam ear pieces supplied meant they are comfortable to wear. Outside noise isolation is satisfactory. I found that bass is more evident than on cheap earphones so looking forward to playing my music collection. A handy storage case is supplied as well and offers protection when not in use. These are not cheap but they make listening to music a pleasure.

    Very natural sound
I like these. Pretty natural sound, pairs very well with the DAP I have & has excellent mid tones & crisp highs – something lacking in many IEM.I swapped out the cable for something more robust & tangle free & I’m very happyEasy to fit & with enough tips to ensure that everyone finds one to fit comfortably. They don’t cause listening or ear fatigue as I’ve found others to do.

    Pure gold.
Wow. They are pure gold IF YOU SET THEM UP PROPERLY. When i first got them, I hear them and it was seriously tinny…. the bass wasn’t there and neither were the highs. So I immediately put them back in the box and was going to return them. But a friend told to me to play the genre of music you will listen to in the earphones at medium volume for 5 hours. So I did and they sounded a lot better. Then he told me to get an equaliser. So I did and made a preset for a bit more bass. And the fit is perfect for medium to large ears. And I found the foam tips work very well and isolate most of he sound. But the triple seam tips isolate everything and work a treat. They are actually very nice to lie down with.Highly recommended

    POOR QUALITY
Had these for a few months and they failed, Amazon replaced FOC . Second pair failed within 2 months so I returned for a refund. Sound quality was OK but lacked Bass however was quite detailed. Would not purchase again and probably not worth the asking price. I chose these because SHURE products are generally of good quality but not this time..

Great Sound – And can be wireless with the Adaptor
Superb sound and extremely comfortable fit.I have this paired with a Fiio M11s audio player, and also use the Shure TW2 wireless adaptors and the sound is extremely good. Only negative is that I do need to crank the Fiio up to almost full volume, but the sound is incredible.Only thing that sometimes annoys me is the wire, or the TW2 adaptor, and the way they go over the ear. Can be a bit fiddly, but the reason is clear as to why as it helps create a perfect seal in the ear, so they are comfortable and sound great.Definitely go with the Foam tips that they supply as the Foam creates a better seal than the silicon tips and the sound is improved as a result

I’d be annoyed at these if they cost £50.
The fit is snug and does isolate outside noises extremely well but the price for this is extremely painful ears. Just too uncomfortable for more than an hours normal use. Also the cables are heavy and tug at your ears and the buds with walking. The quality of the sound on my iPhone SE is highly disappointing. First there’s the volume, we’ll lack of. On full volume they’re at maybe a third of the level of normal buds. I tried using a high quality amp between the buds and phone and the headphones just distorted. Leading me to believe they just can’t handle normal to higher volumes at all.Secondly there’s no bass. No really none. What traces there are of bass is a muddy all over the place mess. The mids are ok, not great, not bad either. The highs are very good and quite special with tons of detail. Saying that some very high highs do cause a weird sort of hissy distortion like the buds are rattling inside. To summarise, they’re great at about 1/4 of the hearing spectrum, rubbish at about a third if it and average at the rest. They’re superb at isolating external noises but painful and the cable is too heavy. The buds are far too intrusive for everyday use and the volume at max is a joke – way too low.I really wanted these to be special and tried hard to give them a chance. So disappointed with them I had to get a refund, which is something I haven’t had to with any electrical good for years. At £50 I’d be annoyed, at £150 it’s quite sad.

Clear sounding, well made, secure fitting analytical earphones
Very well made earphones that once fitted, are very secure. The rotating cabling is of high quality and remains tangle free with a little care. The earphones with their multiple buds make a very good job of isolating external sound and are very efficient at preventing the music escaping to annoy others (even when used loud in bed at night, without disturbing my wife). The sound is extremely clear with good separation between instruments. Be aware, these earphones are really clear sounding, using these with poor quality recordings or low bit rate mp3’s will show up the recording. But, play a well recorded 320kbs mp3 or Flac file and they sound beautiful. The balance between frequencies is even without a peaky range although the bass while remaining detailed, can sound a little light when playing some bass heavy music. I find that a moderate lift with the 31Hz slider on my equaliser compensates well.Would I recommend them to a friend? Yes, providing they are aware that these quality earphones need a quality source. Would I buy them again? Yes, unless I could afford the more expensive SE425 or SE535 Shure’s.

The Aonic 3 is a one driver headphone that I really like – I use them all day for work. They have absolutely magical mids and non fatiguing highs. They dont hurt my ears from using them all day and they have zero sibilance at higher volumes. They fit great and are a very safe buy – fit wise. The loops that go around the ears are really high quality, much better than the loops of the old 215s, and more solid than the loops of the Sennheisers Ie300 which bounce back and are annoying. You will not constantly have to readjust the loops of the Aonic 3’s.If you want a non fatiguing earphone that you can use all day, this one is for you. It will surprise you with the mids.WARNING: Do not get this headphone if you are using Spotify, as the dynamic range in the codec will make these sound like they have no bass and something missing. They do have bass if you use Tidal or Apple music.

Many years ago as a college student, back in the early days of the iPod, I bought some very high end earphones from a company who’s professional products were starting to find themselves plugged into iPods, they were the Shure E4c. Shure had been making in ear monitors for a long time, but they were not sold to consumers, only to professionals. Of course their intended use made little difference, they plugged into headphone jacks just as easy as anything else, and after what seemed like forever Shure FINALLY released a line of consumer earphones, E2c, E3c, E4c, and E500 circa 2005.Some time ago the E series was replaced by the SE series, but the E4c was not revamped as part of that line. And so here we are about 15 years later, long after my beloved E4c’s several years of service came to an end due to an unfortunate encounter with a rowing machine. Lo and behold, SE has given way to AONIC series, and despite a demotion from “4” to “3” the single driver design has reappeared and it looks shockingly familiar. Shure has come out with the AONIC 3, billed as “the smallest design from Shure”. They seemed to be a not so subtle reissue of the E4c. And just as incredible as they were then, they are now. While they clearly aren’t a direct reissue, they retain the soul of that old model and the sonic character is exactly as I remember them, which is truly outstanding. Why reinvent the wheel, right?I will not bore the reader with the details of theory about multiple drivers vs. a single, but one should be aware that this argument is not new nor has it waned in recent years. These use a single driver in each earphone (the $1000 SE846, which I also own and is their top model, uses four). What results is a very clean and detailed sound. As is the hallmark of Shure, the portion of our hearing where our ears are most sensitive (which includes all human vocals and most instruments) is handled with a sort of finesse and engineering skill that make these sound “expensive”. Detail and spaciousness are among the best money can buy. You’ll also get very low distortion and no coloration of the sound in any way. If you aren’t the type who regularly runs in audiophile circles and your eyes glazed over, let me apologize and translate. The sound on these will be very clear, with each individual sound being very distinct, almost as if you had a separate earphone for each sound. No one sound overpowers another or interferes with the overall coherence of the music as a whole. The sound will be a honest and faithful reproduction of what is recorded. These will not add anything that the artist and engineers didn’t put there, and if they did put it there these will make the same sound they did in the booth when your favorite song was made. They have honest bass and treble. They will not wow you with bass (sorry, you need the 846 for that) but are more than capable of producing all but the very lowest frequencies easily. They have a natural and smooth roll off in the first octave without a hint of the heavy handedness, exaggeration, or boominess that seem to be a design requirement of Beats, Bose, et al. The sound isn’t showy or flashy in any way. The best way to describe the sound of the Shure line and these in particular is “classy” or “refined”. Your weird uncle who is super into audio? He loves these. The E4c were a bargain in 2005 at $349. A modernized shell and modular cables for $199 in 2021? Sold. That means you can get the TW1 adapter and have an audiophile experience with true wireless for something close to my original E4c’s price. Are the top of the line 846 better? Of course, but you may not want to or care to spend $1000 on earphones. I don’t blame you. This is the sweet spot folks. If you want reference quality sound these are the pair to have and this is how much that sort of thing costs.A bit on noise cancellation since it is enough to have it’s own star rating- you don’t need or want active noise cancellation in an earphone. This is reserved for headphones that have other challenges that in ear phones do not face. These fit like earplugs and block outside sound about as well. This is suitable for use in all but the most extreme conditions such as a flight deck or using a jackhammer.Full offense, if you have any complaints on how these sound… it’s not the earphones…it’s you.

In sostanza design e funzionalità super. Eccezionali….

Good for vocal reference monitors but terrible as an instrumental monitor. Not enough punch to replace those floor monitors.
