Easy to install, bright and cool
Amazing lights, easy to install and set up with alexa.First of all these were very simple to install. You just screw it in the same way you would a normal light bulb. Flip the switch on and off a couple times and they go into pairing mode where you pair them with the app and thats it. After the pairing you can control brightness and colours.The app also can connect to the alexa app so you can use voice commands and motion sensors to switch them on/off or change colours.Itâs worth mentioning that you do not even need to be at home. As long as you have an internet connection you can check if you left the lights on and simply switch them off. Or if you are like me you can use them to signal to the wife you will be home soon.What I love to do is to set a routine so that 30mins before I have to leave the house all the lights turn a different colour so I can get up and get ready. Also me and the wife made an agreement that we would only use the red light for emergencies so for example if I was coming home and saw the red lights on I would know something was wrong.I like to set the lights to orange in the evenings because it feels more cozy and in the morning I set it to white. The other colours i find not very necessary but I could see it being used for aesthetic, videos ect. Or just to set a certain mood in the room.All in all the lights are bright and work as they should.

Cheaper and better than Phillip’s hue
Bought Wixan light bulbs as an alternative a cheaper alternative to Philips hue, had the warming white hue. The wixan bulbs were half the price and seemed a lot brighter.Only problem I ran into was one of the bulbs lasted for 8 months, still pretty good and I think that was more down to a heavy lampshade not fitted correctly so was resting on the wall.One thing that set it a part from philips was ease of set up and working straight out the box, unlike the hue where you need to buy the hub or have the echo plus (acts as a hub) Wixan bulbs connect straight to the app on your phone and can sync to to google/alexa, so no hub is required.Overall, the wixan bulbs are a great product than even rival the likes of phillips hues and are a lot cheaper and a breeze to set up!Overall, if youre wanting a great value and good quality smart white/RGB smart buln

Great! Just watch out for power outages
We add these bulbs for convenience and security. They score highly on features with the usual voice control, colour, and brightness options. They’re recommended with a caveat when the power is restored after an outage, they all turn on. All of them.If they were OFF, then they’ll be ON. They don’t re-set before the next event you schedule. That’s not a great security feature, nor for our planet? It’s advised to schedule an ‘all-off’ even at least once a day. When installed in a bedroom and after being disturbed by your house alarm’s announcement of a power outage, you now get alerted when the power is restored. Right in your sleepy face. We also use smart plugs, which return to their stored status following a power outage. Logically, the bulbs could be programmed to do the same? I dropped a Star for that because sleeplessness makes me mean.

Excellent screw base ‘dawn to dusk’ light bulbs – ideal for outside light
Discovered ‘dawn to dusk’ bulbs about a year ago, and was incredibly impressed that you can have a bulb that comes on when it gets dark and switches off when it gets light.These are warm white, quite bright and with a screw base and have a tiny light sensor. They’re incredibly easy to fit, and I leave the outside light switch on every morning and the bulbs come on when it gets dark, so you’re not wasting electricity during the day.These are 9w LED and therefore use very little electricity.Time will tell with these but I have found that these types of bulbs tend not to last as long as the LED bulbs used indoors. I’m not sure if it’s the temperature swings, moisture, or what, but I have had to other brands fail inside 12 months.These seems great value and so far, so good. Hoping they will last rather longer.

Ordered, delivered next day – fantastic service.Utter garbage product, literally 3 of the 4 bulbs in the box did not work at all.Do not buy this companies products as they are cheap and nasty but sold at expensive prices.

This light has changed my mornings!
I use this smart bulb with my smart home and it is brilliant. You can change it to any colour you want and has different settings such as ‘reading mode’ or ‘night mode’. The light is really bright and better than my previous bulb but you can dim it accordingly for the occasion. At night I dim the lights and am able to do so without moving from my bed! It was easy to install and connected to the app instantly but comes with a helpful manual and guide. This has changed my mornings as there is a schedule and I can schedule it to come on with my alarm to make waking up more enjoyable. I would recommend this to everyone as I will be buying myself more for the whole house in the future!

We installed the bulb in a lamp- just screw it in like any other light bulb. To access all the colors and features, you will need to have WiFi in your home, and you’ll need to install the app on your phone (name of the app: smart life). This was super easy and simple to do and I am not tech savvy at all. You can control everything about the lightbulb now, either by speaking (“ok Google, ….”), or by using the app. You can can turn it off and on, change the level of light, the color, the intensity, the various special effects, etc. really easily, all by voice commands, or the app! You can even set your light bulb on a completely customizable schedule! How cool is that?! A couple things to note: you have to be connected to WiFi to control the lightbulb, and you also have to have the light switch on (on your lamp). I like that the bulb is an LED because it doesn’t heat up like the regular lightbulb we had previously, and it lasts way longer and uses less electricity/money than a regular bulb. The color and intensity is nice for our needs.

I needed a motion sensing system to turn on a light in a right angle stairwell to our basement. We’re getting on in years and we needed more light, preferably one that turned on automatically, in the stairwell when carrying objects to and from the basement freezer and refrigerator and my workshop.The existing light socket was a bare bulb unit positioned on a wall with the socket facing towards the door from the first floor and which was switched at both the top and bottom of the right angle stairwell. This made it appear that using this product, having the motion sensor built into the top of the bulb, might be ideal compared to installing a motion sensing switches since the most common mode of operation would be taking items down to the appliances in the basement where your arms are busy holding items and wiring up motion sensing switches would be a lot more work.In fact it was ideal with the motion sensor on the bulb pointed right at the door to the basement. But it turned out to also be very sensitive to motion coming up the stairs as well. While the light turns on as soon as the basement door is opened, it also turns on as soon as you reach the 2nd step coming up the stairs so it appears the sensor on the end of the bulb has a field of view approaching 170 degrees in practice.The unintended result was that I did have to install locking cover plates on the switches to help break the 30 year plus habit we had of reaching for the light switches. We still find ourselves reaching for the switch at times but that’s a small price to pay (and causes no problems since I installed the locking cover plates) for being certain to have good lighting every time we go up or down the stairs carrying larger objects!Highly recommend this product in this kind of application.
