Brilliant little device BUT take your time setting it up, make sure you connect the timer to the hub or it will not work out of Bluetooth range (appears to be most of the complaints on here), make sure to use PTFE tape to avoid leaks but most importantly TAKE IT INSIDE OVER WINTER AND DONT LEAVE IT IN FROST.

Remote function not working at all
finishing was good and setup was easy. Bought it in early July 2024 to prepare for automatic watering of my garden while I am away in August. The mobile app was easy to use. The timer did start and end at the preset times throughout the testing period in July.A big problem is only revealed now in August when I am away. The remote doesnât work at all regardless of the internet connection I use on my mobile phone. I cannot start, stop or change the preset times. This is a huge problem as I cannot increase watering time during the heat wave period. I can see from my cctv that the some of my plants are not surviving. Of course it could be my fault for not testing the remote function thoroughly before I leave my plants behind. But be honest, there are now all sorts of remotely controlled devices at home but this is the only piece not working.I would like someone to tell me whatâs wrong with the device and any remedial action can be take.Disappointing.

Excellent two zone control
Neat and reliable. Smart features such as suspending watering cycle during rain days. Easy to control from the phone but needs to be reasonably close to both WiFi transmitter and the control unit. One set of AA batteries lasts a season

For the money this is an amazing piece of kit.The App is well written, intuitive and informative.So far (3 months in) there’s been no issue with the hardware installation and it continues to please.To ba able to operate from anywhere in the world that has internet access is just brilliant.

It’s not a timer….
It does work well but it’s not a timer more like a controllable flow switch.the app does controls the unit so will only turn on and off when and if your signal reaches it.wouldnt rely on when for instance you go abroad and take your phone as the app on your phone sends the signal to the unit.if you don’t have data signal then your plants won’t get watered.if you use it knowing this then it is good.the app is easy to set up and navigate and you can set daily on/off times as well as longer soak patterns.

Having had (and broken, 2 Gardena automatic devices, I decided upon a change. Cheaper and WiFi enabled. This item was relatively way to set up but once done, works brilliantly. Compact and now easy to adjust. A very good buy indeed

Took me a couple of hours to sort out. Instructions were written in “Chinglish” and unclear as to which device they were referring to (HUB/Timer). But once sorted out, installation was a breeze. Important to note, set the WIFI HUB up first… The HUB wants to connect to your 2.4 GHz WIFI signal and asks for your “WIFI password” to connect to your WIFI. This is different than the User Name and password that you set up for your “Smart Life app”.Once you set up your “Smart Life” account, configure the HUB, and start up the app… Select the hub and “ADD DEVICE” on the HUB brings up the list of devices as shown in the pictures. If you can’t get to the list of devices, then you probably entered the wrong password for your WIFI connection (like I did)! And the reference to two lights flashing refer to the lights on the timer. So press and hold one of the buttons on the timer until the two lights start flashing sequentially to put the timer in pairing mode.I was concerned about distance, but my HUB is plugged into an inside wall outlet with a straight line shot of nearly 60 feet to the timer ands it works perfectly. Also noted that the Johgee Dual Water Timer passes more than twice the volume of water than the old 3-zone Orbit Timer it was replacing… my sprinklers now spray more than twice as far! On the flakey 3-zone Orbit timer, zone 1 stopped turning off and had to be capped. The other 2-zones occasionally randomly exhibit erratic flows when they are turned on, and sometimes don’t turn off completely, dribbling water continuously out to the sprinklers!But be very careful when you thread the hose couplings on to the Johgee timer threads. I tried several times noting the coupling was going on crookedly and binding. When straight with the threads, they go on easily, tighten up, and don’t leak. Forcing a cross-threaded coupler on the plastic threads will destroy the threads and cause permanent leaks!Very happy with my purchase, so I’m going to replace all of my manual Digital ORBIT Timers!

I’ve used the timer 3 months so far. at the begining the timer had very small leakage but after 3 months of use tha leak now is worse !!the product is amazing i just hope that the quality was much better !
