Snap Circuits Electronic Discovery Kits
Give your child an exciting, hands-on introduction to electronics with Elenco Electronics Snap Circuits! These kits contain color-coded, real circuit components that snap together to create working electronic circuits and devices. Recommended for children 8 and older, all Snap Circuits kits offer do-it-yourself projects that will give your child an entertaining, concrete education on how electronics work.
No Soldering No Tools It’s a Snap!

Design Your Own Circuits and Upgrade Your Kit
Once children have mastered several of the techniques introduced in this kit, they can use the components to experiment and create their own customized circuits and electronic devices. Kids will enjoy additional parts, manuals, and projects that’ll take their kit–and their fun–to the next level.
Create Working Electronic Circuits
Grow as You Go
Because the projects are arranged in order of complexity, kids can build on their skills as they progress through the manual. The lessons start out with a simple electric light and switch project that demonstrates how electricity is turned on and off with a switch. Further along, kids can put together a fire fan symphony, a water-detection alarm, a delayed-action fan, and more.

Bought for my 8 Yr old daughter
Dad is an electrician so I thought she’d enjoy this. She likes the easy to follow directions in the book and although she’s not that into ready why and how things are happening I am hoping she might over time! Really enjoyable to use though and good for all levels Really as could create their own circuits as well as the ones shown. Also great that there are extension packs. Really pleased with this gift as educational and fun. It could have gone either way but she loved it!

8 year old nephew loves it
I bought this for my Nephew for his birthday, he’s 8 so naturally loves to ‘build things’ although, is usually precious about leaving Lego models ‘complete’ which is starting to clutter the house. I really wanted to support his interest of why things work, as opposed to how things work… so this was a no-brainer.Aside from the amount of projects this can create and the ability to buy add-ons to make more complicated circuitry, this is really beginning to give him an understanding of the basics of electronics, in a hands on way that just doesn’t seem to be covered in school at his age. Although he didn’t really know what it was to begin with as it comes in a rather unassuming box, come Christmas, we were discussing resistors, switches and batteries. Really fantastic, fun and educational product.

Great circuit kit for kids and adults
Brought it to help my daughter as she’s learning cicuits in science at school. It’s a fabulous kit. I brought the 300 version. It’s great value for money. The components are good and robust. The instructions are clear and easy to follow even for my 9 year old daughter on her own now we’ve been through the basics. The only down side, is I would like to see more about how and why the components work in each experiment, but that’s all.Otherwise it’s a great little buy, that keeps us both occupied for hours.

Excited nieces
Bought as a christmas present for nieces, 5 and 8, broke it down into an advent calendar so they got different pieces different days ensuring they had enough pieces to make a different circuit each week. They enjoyed seeing how it worked. Gave the booklet to the parents so they had to try and work it out first without the instructions. Ever the teacher!Cannot comment about durability as havenât managed to see it since i gave it to them due to covid! Seemed quite robust when i was playing with it. 8 year old had no problem with it but had to help her younger sibling.Wish i had bought the bigger set.

Amazing little kit
Amazing little kit. Potential for some pieces to be snapped by over excited hands but most are very sturdy. Easy to use and the step by step projects are an easy guide into learning about circuits.Definitely good for the money!

Wow
This set (the 750+ one) arrived six weeks ago and since then my five year old son has played with it at least six days a week for hours at a time. It is the best value for money toy Iâve ever bought. Initially I was getting a bit precious about the components and tried to encourage him to be careful to not short the batteries or overload components. Fortunately I caught myself in time and left him to it. It would have completely defeated the object if I made him too scared to play with it for fear of breaking it. So some pieces have broken but itâs a small price to pay when weighed against the hours of learning and what can honestly be described as the pure joy he has received from it. (And I can always buy him another when heâs a couple of years older.) Heâs started teaching his mum the names of components and what they do. Heâs memorised how to make the FM radio circuit. It took him a while to get into it because he has an innate fear of getting stuff âwrongâ but now he sees it as a toy (albeit a special one) heâs in his element. Thank you Elenco.

Okay, not amazing.
Tl;dr – kid loves it, parents less impressed.Bought for our 4yo at Xmas.He absolutely loves it, has spent hours playing with the set with his dad, he’s learnt a lot from it and often wants to play with it above other toys, including electronic devices (tablet/Switch). So from his point of view it’s a 6 star product. From a parent’s point of view? It is not good value for money. Prices fluctuate, so to be clear; we paid £40 for it – I don’t believe it is worth more than £25. The plastic base is flimsy and many of the component pieces are very stiff, moreso than the standard “new plastic” stiffness you expect. There’s a general “cheap” feeling to the entire product, and to be honest, the expectation of higher quality came from the pricetag. That said, here we are 3 months later and with heavy play, nothing has broken, we’ve just had some worrying squeaks and groans from different pieces.Like the title says; from a parent’s pov, it’s an okay product.
