Decent enough for home usage
Decent enough for the price. The outer insulation striping function didn’t work on the cable I was using as it is in a fixed position, the cable I used was too narrow gauge, but that’s a minor gripe and easy enough to slice down with some side snips or a razor blade.The instructions for most of the items are in Chinglish, but easy enough to decipher if you know a bit about it already.I can’t comment as to the longevity of everything as I’ve literally made up just one cable so far, but I see no reason why it wouldn’t last at least long enough to plod through the connectors provided and then some.I haven’t counted how many RJ45 connectors are in the packet, but even if it isn’t the advertised 50, there’s more than enough to keep me going, including any cockups.If you’re doing this more regularly, I’d definately suggest spending more on higher quality tools, but for someone making up their own network at home, once; it’ll do the job I’m sure.Only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is for the instructions and the cable stripping function, but possibly being a bit harsh considering the price.

Jâaime pu certir correctement mes prises réseau facilement grâce à ce kit complet. Le testeur permet de vérifier rapidement le bon raccordement des fils. Il faut néanmoins rajouter une pile 9V pour lâalimenter. Pour moi qui nâai pas lâhabitude de faire ces branchements, câétait parfait !

Had no problems whatsoever. I wanted the passthrough as I found the push to end kind a little hard and wanted something that is more worry free. I have used lots of push to the end and have a bunch of crimpers too but I find them a little tedious to use.First passthorugh one I used to replace a previous push to the end. that was switching occasionally from gigabit to 100mb hence probably one bad connection. Way faster to install and even to correct minor problems such as forgetting to install the boot; so much easier to reinsert (obviously before crimping).The crimp tool works fine and cuts the wires fine hence did not need the pliers. The tester also worked fine. It may be difficult to use the crimper in tight spaces. Comes with 50 connectors. Perhaps some instructions may be desired but I figured it out in less than 5′. Good deal in my book for 45$.

I used this package, which includes all the tools needed for making Ethernet cable connectors. It was very convenient, and I successfully made a connector using it. The only minor downside is that when crimping the connector, the protruding wires from the RJ45 plug aren’t cut perfectly clean. However, considering the price, this isn’t an issue.
