The Solsop RJ45 Crimp Tool Pass Through Crimper saves a lot of time both in setting the wires and the number of failed connections. Because the wires are trimmed after the crimping operation it is always possible to check that all wires are in the correct position. This leads to less wastage. Also, the outer part of the cable fits further into the connector as it is easy to pull the wires up tight before crimping, this leads to a stronger joint.Finally, the tool is robust smaller than old-type crimpers and has a reasonable cost.Whats not to like!

Best product to get when you’re crimping cables!
So, I crimp cables for work purpose, and was installing new wall sockets at home.I used to have a normal crimper before, but man, what was that a pain to work with!This makes life so much easier, I know in the photos the colours are wrong (I’m colourblind) so I got some help, with getting them correctly, but, this product is amazing.No fuss with cables incorrectly crimped, as they are pushed through, and it shows the order before crimping. Great product!

This tool and some pass through RJ45 connectors have revolutionised my patch cable quality! Cables termination is so much neater, wires within the connector alway exactly the right length and cable sleeve well inside the crimping point. Would definitely recommend!

Whatâs in the box: one (1) RJ45 pass-through modular CAT6 crimping tool, one (1) wire stripping tool, and two (2) spare cutter blades.First impressions: Good quality. Standard fit. Easy to use. If you have never used pass-through modular plugs, you have no idea how much more convenient and easier they make termination jobs! The installation process is quicker and more reliable; you donât have to worry about a wire miss-feeding once you push it in. This crimper is designed for these connectors although you can also use this crimper on conventional modular RJ45 plugs too. The frame of the tool is made of heavy steel and is well put together. It has a built-in sheathing stripper that worked very well with different brands of CAT5E and CAT6E cabling that I tried. The modular plugs fit precisely into the metal shoe (not a plastic shoe like some other crimpers and the handle smoothly crimps the modular plug and trims the protruding pass-through wires in one clean motion. The crimper is non-ratcheting, which I prefer because it gives you more control of the cam-over at the end of the crimp. The protruding wires are cut perfectly flush as can be seen in my pictures. The crimper also has a convenient handle locking bar to keep the tool compact in your tool pouch. There also is a handy wiring chart for straight and reverse cables on the side of the tool.Only time will tell if this product has similar longevity and durability as other competitive products on the market. Pass through connectors are the way to go. They are so much easier and faster to use than their non-pass through counterpart. This crimping tool works well. The only criticism I have is if you are not careful sometimes the pass through wires can get jammed in the tool and if you don’t notice it the tool will not cut the wires that got jammed.

Been making patch cables for many years. Recently discovered the pass-through connectors, which make the process 10X as reliable. But even with pass-through connectors, the crimper makes a huge difference. Yes, there are tools out there that are reliable that cost a lot of money. But this one is reasonably priced, and I have about a 99% success rate with it, on one squeeze. Meaning, if I make 100 cables with it, one of them will fail. Even then, the odd cable that fails on the cable tester, I can USUALLY get it working by just running both ends on this crimper again, to re-smash it. (!!!) I use really cheap bulk cable and the cheapest connectors I can find, sourced from china of course.

Bought this for pass through rj45 connectors. Certainly not the best crimpers available, but, for the amount that I’ll be using them, I’m satisfied with them. Seems to be good value for the money.
