Handy for towel radiator automation.
I had a couple of electric towel radiators that ran on analogue timers. They did the job but both were in awkward locations and a bit of a nuisance if you wanted to change timer settings, or turn them on. I bought a 3-pack of these Sonoff Smart Switches, due to their small size as they needed to fit inside pattress boxes. I use Samsung Smarthings, and as these are compatible it meant I wouldn’t have to be using multiple apps. Firstly, they are “small” and you need to very careful wiring them in. The terminals are very close and one wire manged to short across the adjacent wire as I was pushing the switch and wiring into the pattress box. Needless to say the fuseboard didn’t like it! As I only needed two I discarded the first unit as it was showing signs of electrical burn marks. Second time around I took a bit more time wiring it in and being a little more “gentle” when closing up the pattress box. As for day to day use, they work fine. These smart switches have a “on/off button” but I’ve got them inside a pattress box for safety as they are just too small and fiddly to leave exposed. These are ideal for tight spots, inside pattress boxes etc and not suitable to be wired in and left exposed, in my view the small terminal block and proximity of the wire to each other could easily short if any wire comes loose. The app gives you full control of the units so I’ve had no need to physically do anything with the switch itself. If they needed a power reset for any reason, it’s easy enough just to knock off the breaker at the fuseboard for a minute or two.

Limitations are not mentioned only 2.4ghz connection supported
You really need to write in large that this product doesn’t support any WiFi connection other than 2.4 GHz. Most of us are using 5 or 6 Ghz these days. I really don’t want to go through a time consuming return process so they all ended up on the bin. Very disappointed

la dimansione davvero contenuta permette l’installazione nelle scatole tradizionali (sempre però che non siano troppo piene). Nessuna difficolta nel montaggio anche con deviatori e ottimi sostituti dei relè. Anche se non vicinissimi al router, nessuna dificoltà di connessione. Alexa li ha riconosciuti automaticamente senza difficoltà . Si presentano davvero molto bene e danno l’idea di essere durevoli ma su questo mi esprimerò più avanti avendoli appena montati. Unico neo, l’nterruttore tradizionale, se montato, ha un leggerissimo ritardo nell’accensione/spegnimento.
