Bought the iten as a usb memory stick for a new company car with no Cd Player. Car would not play the music on the stick as it is SSk Format. Now use for anotyher purpose

It tends to overheat quickly
Iâve used this flash drive for several tasks, and while itâs impressively fast at the beginning, it tends to overheat quickly. Once it gets too hot, uncomfortably so to the touch, the transfer speed drops dramatically to around 50 to 60 MB/s, which is nearly 10 times slower than its initial performance.For example, when transferring around 600 GB to a 1 TB version of this drive, it handled the first 200 GB quickly. But after that, the drive became so hot I had to pause the transfer for an hour. When I resumed, it worked at high speed again, but only for another 10 to 15 minutes before overheating and slowing down once more.Overall, itâs a solid device with great speed, but it struggles with sustained large file transfers because of heat issues. Thatâs the main drawback Iâve noticed.

953GiB{1024billion} write speed falls sharply 400MB/s to 73 after 227mins[full]
This SSK SD300 has 2% larger capacity than its newer brother SD301This model was slightly cheaper at time of purchase (under £60 for 1024billion bytes compared to nearly £70 for the 1000billion 931GiB of the better-looking SD301) .This unit benchmarked a bit slower in CrystalDiskMark using USB C with a USB3.2×2 C port(see my review of it) but exhibited pretty similar behaviour: write speed drops sharply & unit gets toasty.430to450 MBytes per second dropping to 334 after14m; 148 after48m; 80after159; 73MB/s@3h42m.Read speed seems pretty stable 384MBytes per second.If you want to move more than 50 GiB then maybe invest in => usb 3 nvme SSD or put up with the slowdown.BTW results are probably optimistic: I was transferring fairly large files ( 953 one Gibibyte & then 4 videos totalling 53 Gibibytes from an 80GiB ramdrive )

Super Teil. Hab den Stick an meine Xbox One X angeschlossen und die Ladezeiten der Spiele haben sich fast halbiert. Das Wärmeproblem hatte ich anfangs auch, schon aus dem Grund weil im Bereich der USB Anschlüsse die warme Luft der Konsole abgeführt wird und die kompakte Bauweise des Sticks dazu beiträgt dass er sich schneller erwärmt als eine normale ssd Festplatte. Das Problem habe ich mit einem usb Ventilator beseitigt der die ganze Zeit kühle Luft in Richtung des ssd sticks befördert, der Stick erwärmt sich jetzt nur noch minimal. Klare Kaufempfehlung für alle die einen schnellen SSD Stick suchen und ihn an Geräten nutzen wollen die den USB 3.0 Standard oder besseres verwenden.

This is the find of the century! I absolutely love this SSD. I bought two for my Raspberry Pi’s as SSD are way more reliable.They do however run a bit hot, around 45 to 50 degrees Celsius. I am not sure if this is heat coming from the Raspberry Pi’s or just normal, but it is at the upper end of the safe temperature range of an SSD. Luckily they are made of solid aluminum to help with heat dissipation. They are quite heave making them feel super solid.Thinking of buying a larger one to replace my flash storage, especially at this price and performance.
