All of the LC Duplex connectors I’ve bought came with little caps to cover each fiber strand. These dust covers are much better because it replaces two caps and also covers the entire opening, not just the fiber strand. The fit is snug and can also be used to cap open sfp transceivers. It seems a little pricey for a piece of rubbery plastic, but you do get a 5â product.,

These do the job just fine, used them on several different SFPs with LC ports. These help keep the optics free from dust when no fiber is plugged in. SFPs come with plugs when new, but they are easy to lose, or if you buy used ones like I do, they usually don’t come with plugs.
