A good no-nonsense product that could save you hundreds of pounds
These leads do what they do. They are not top quality power and data mega-transfer conduits able to send 200mb/s, with anti tangle coatings and all that. The beauty of this product are the dimensions and the value for money. They are less than 2 quid each but still charge my tech at the same speed as leads that cost 5 times as much. The SP for this lead is the length. You can have a desktop multi outlet charger and to charge it you hook up your phone to the charger with a 60cm lead either coiled up and messy or just left dangling over the edge of the table. Not ideal if you like stuff to be tidy. Not ideal if someone catches the dangling lead and pulls your phone off the table. With this super-short lead you don’t have excess lead dangling in the way of everyone. Nor do you have to coil up a long lead. Its simple, tidy and safer. As far as I can tell the charging speed through this lead is exactly the same as expensive leads.It my seem like a lot of fuss about something so cheap and simple but I promise, that the day your 500 pound phone has smashed on the floor because someone has caught the long charge lead that was dangling over the edge of the table, you’ll wish you opted for this two pound super short option. The delivery time was great as well at 3 days.

This cable connects perfectly between a standard USB socket and any device that uses a micro USB socket. The electricity seems to flow effortlessly through the connecting cable carrying both power and, should you so desire, data between the connected devices.The length is just perfect for those who want a 6 inch cable, being approximately 6 inches in length.The colour matches perfectly to the deep black as can be seen in the picture. This is a cable that anyone would be proud to own. I know I am. I am constantly getting it out and showing people. Although they say “Oh no, Keith, not your bloody cable again”, I know that they are secretly envious and would just love to own such a cable themselves.I say, “Go on, treat yourself. Get one”. Grips firmly and gives a fast charge
I have the original leads for both my Kindle (keyboard type) and Android Nexus tablet but I find them unnecessarily long. This lead is the perfect length for charging from a laptop or desktop. It charges the fastest off the mains adaptors which come with each product and seems to do a quicker job than the original, longer leads.The lead provides a very positive grip in both the Kindle and Nexus 7, and I guess would fit perfectly anything else with the same Micro B socket. The one I received is actually 12.5 inches end to end and feels robustly stiff, while retaining a useful degree of flexibility. There is nothing flimsy about either the cable or the connectors. A very sensible price, too.Based on my experience of this product, I would definitely buy from this company again.

Después de que el cable original del Samsung SIII me diera problemas (al principio había que poner el móvil en una determinada posición y al final no había manera de cargar), me decidí por este cable y puedo decir que he acertado.Lo uso con el enchufe del SIII original y va igual de bien (que el cable original cuando funcionaba, claro), de hecho encaja de manera más firme en el móvil.Antes de éste compré un cable en el todo a cien, que resultó ser muy fino y no cargaba el móvil, únicamente mantenía el nivel de la batería sin importar a dónde estuviera enchufado. Este cable Startech sin embargo se ve robusto y carga rápido con el enchufe original, enchufándolo también en el coche o al USB del ordenador. Tampoco se ha desconectado nunca del USB como sí ocurría incluso al principio con el cable del SIII original.

I purchased this cable to charge USB devices on my desk. I have a power strip with a USB outlet on my desk, and the extra cables were causing lots of clutter.I charge a Kindle Paperwhite (in the case), a Livescribe Echo, a set of LG HBS-730 Bluetooth Headphones, along with many other things.The plug on this cable (device end) is slightly larger than the average cable, so be careful of phones in cases, but all of the devices listed above work just fine without and modifications or removal of cases necessary.It was hard to find other 1ft Micro USB cables, but this one is fairly good quality and is just the right length to charge things without all of the clutter of larger cables. It is also almost impossible to get this cord tangled, as it is so short, which is a major plus.
