I can’t go back, this is a game changer!
—I recently added the SwitchBot Curtain 3 to my setup, and it’s been a game-changer. Out of the box, it paired effortlessly with my SwitchBot app—just clip it onto the curtain rod, follow the simple on-screen prompts, and you’re done. The battery life is outstanding: I only needed to recharge it once since January 4th—a span of about four months—even though it cycles far more than once per day with every lock and unlock.What I love most is its versatility. It works with almost any curtain type—light sheers, heavier drapes, and everything in between. I installed mine on a door curtain to combat a constant draft: whenever my SwitchBot Lock Pro locks the door, the curtain closes automatically, and it opens again when I unlock. This automation has made a noticeable difference in keeping warm air inside on chilly mornings.Despite a few run-ins (literally) when I’ve flung the door open before the curtain had a chance to move, the device still works flawlessly. It’s picked up a few scuffs, but the build quality is tough and reliable.At its price point, the Curtain 3 is very reasonable—especially considering how much it improves home comfort and convenience. I only needed one unit on my door-side curtain rail, but it tackled my draft problem perfectly, even when I’m away from home. Highly recommended for anyone looking to automate and insulate without breaking the bank.

Almost Perfect
The device came well packaged with good instructions. Battery life is excellent and the motors are strong enough to move even heavy curtains. Only issue I’ve had is the curtains getting stuck on the extendable poles even when using the supplied joiner. The joiner has also lost its stickiness which means it sits proud and catches the curtains as they try to move along. I’ve had to wrap the prongs with tape to get them to stay down but this requires replacement every few months due to wear and tear. Hopefully SwitchBot can redesign this.

Fantastic must have for everyone!
I’ve been using these curtain motors in my bedroom for over a year now and they’ve worked flawlessly. The battery life is impressive, lasting easily over four to five months, and I’ve set up automations to open the curtains at sunrise, which works perfectly.I definitely plan to get more to automate the rest of the house. Installation and setup only took a few minutes and then you can just forget about them as they do their job quietly and reliably.The only minor issue I’ve encountered is that I need to oil or use WD40 on the curtain pole about twice a year to keep everything running smoothly, but that’s hardly a dealbreaker.We love showing them off to guests and it’s especially great when we’re on holiday as it gives the impression someone is home. Highly recommended

Requiere un hub que se vende por separado para integrarlo a Alexa, sino sólo se puede usar mediante su app. Es demasiado grande/grueso por lo que debe haber bastante espacio entre la pared y el riel de la cortina para que no se atore.

A lot of step by step setup but it was easy to understand. Needed to adjust things to fit them in my home. Initially a bit worried that the white color device on my black curtain rod would be too noticeable but it seems okay on it.A bit of spending to just open curtains automatically but love it as set times to open and close by itself. Also motorized rods are even more expensive and they are not portable.Still think it would be better to install powered motorized one if do renovation next time for long term as no worry for batteries or solar panels, and clean look.
