Excellent, once you realise the potential
I recently picked up the SwitchBot Relay, and Iâm genuinely impressed. At under £20, it offers incredible functionalityâespecially when compared to the SwitchBot Hub at nearly £50. For my setup, I moved the original heavier wires so they carry the load directly through the Relay, then ran my own thin wires to the Relayâs switch-live terminalsâso those thin wires only act as the trigger, with absolutely no load on them. Although it took a bit of trial and error to match each conductor correctly, the included instructions were clear enough to get me up and running quickly.Since installation, the Relay has never dropped its connection. Itâs small, well-built, and fits neatly behind a wall switch. In my bathroom, I paired it with a SwitchBot Humidity Sensor to automate the fanâso far, itâs been rock-solid, though I did need a small spacer from the hardware store to accommodate everything in the back box.I now own three Relaysâtwo with power-monitoring enabledâand I plan to add more. An unexpected bonus: they act as Wi-Fi extenders for my other SwitchBot devices, improving coverage for sensors, locks, and keypads throughout the house. All in all, the SwitchBot Relay delivers excellent value. Itâs durable, discrete, and works seamlesslyâhighly recommended for anyone looking to automate switches without breaking the bank.

SwitchBot Smart Relay Switch 1, Smart Relay Module with Built-in Hub, Wi-Fi&Bluetooth
The instructions that come with this are almost impossible for me to read even with glasses on, I have to use a magnifying glass to read them and even then, I have difficulty. I donât like how the instructions are presented in multiple languages at the same time, so you get lost trying to find the next instruction in English. The relay is simple to install if you are electrically proficient although for some install you may need extra wiring that does not come with it. Al in all a useful addition to help control lighting or other switches, and the video in the listing is better at explaining how to wire them. I downloaded the app and registered without difficulty. My reviews follow this star rating:1 Star; Very unsatisfactory product. I do not recommend buying it,2 Stars; Significant deficiencies, does not fulfil its expected functions,3 Stars; Average product. Complies with expectations,4 Stars; Very good and satisfying. I liked it and it’s a quality product,5 Stars; Excellent, exceeds expectations.

I own loads of their stuff. Designed to use with switchbot app/hub. Does work with homekit etc.
Firstly, itâs designed to use with switchbot app/ switchbot hub. Which does work with homekit etc. Itâs not a stand alone product as far as I can tell.I already have switchbot hub (I love their wall switches, presses my a/c and heating buttons on & off remotely for example) and I have several of their curtain rolling machines (canât recall the name). So, if you have the hub, it works with homekit etc. I havenât installed this yet, so canât comment on any components being faulty, as I saw one reviewer mentioned. I have owned several of their products for years now, all working perfectly with daily use. So good quality in my experience.BUT I can say this is the most confusing product of theirs I have come across yet. Showed it to an electrician mate of mine, who explained that basically they give you multiple ways to connect for Voltages, so itâs a little more flexible, but a bit more confusing for complete beginners basically.Hope this helps. If itâs your first time working with something like this, give yourself some time to read the instructions fully & maybe get a sparky to set one up for you initially. But, a good brand, I love and use many of their products in the home and have done so for years. I have items over 4 years old still working perfectly, Iâve never had anything break or need replacing yet.Hope this is helpful to someone!

Convenient and Versatile Smart Home Upgrade
The SwitchBot Smart Relay Switch is a fantastic addition to any home automation setup! Itâs easy to install and works seamlessly with Alexa, Google Home, and Apple HomeKit, making it super convenient to control devices remotely. The built-in hub is a great touch, eliminating the need for extra gear, and the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth options provide reliable connectivity. It handles up to 16A, so itâs perfect for lights, fans, or other appliances. A smart, compact solution for modernizing your home!

Works as described
This smart relay switch works great for controlling my hallway light through the Alexa for voice control. Setup was easier than expected but it does require a neutral wire, so make sure your wiring is compatible before purchasing. Once installed, it works reliably. It is priced at £19.99 at the time of review, and cheaper with a 30% voucher, which I think is reasonable considering the performance.

Great relay!
Super compatible relay this is, works with everything, HomeKit to Google Home to Home Assistant, it works with it all. Works over wifi so strong signal is needed for it to be consistent, but not sure there are many with smart homes without strong wifi these days.Build quality is really good, really high and makes me believe it will last a long while. The instructions it comes with aren’t comprehensive but using the app gives much more detailed instructions that are very helpful. Doesn’t let you see energy consumption, which is good for devices like this, but a more premium feature I have found. This is a basic relay essentially, but you can just control it remotely which is the smarts. It is very reliable, high quality, and it does the job very well! It lacks some smarts of other relays but it is more than enough for most users!Really impressive bit of kit! Easy to install as well, watch some tutorials on YouTube for extra piece of mind, but in practise super easy to install.
