These are awesome. Relatively straightforward to wire up, although use an electrician etc etc.Now have our water heater talking to home assistant, and managing automation and timers through the SwitchBot integration, rather than using the mobile app.

Seems nice quality – and I’ve used other products by the same manufacturer. I want to get this working with Home Assistant, and have searched the knowledgebase for this. Although, as yet, I’ve not managed, I don’t doubt it is something I am doing wrong, and not the fault of the product.

Wow, there are tiny – much smaller than I thought they would be.Not sure why I thought they would be bigger as the advertising shots show them installed into wall sockets. You could certainly use them that way although for that use case, I would probably buy sockets and switches that were purpose designed for that use case.I’m using these to switch some vintage computer gear on/off where I have installed the computers and don’t want to have to reach sockets in order switch them on and off. They are so easy to set up and use with a range of apps that support them once initially configured.I recommend these. Their diminutive size means that have a range of use cases.

Great set of 2 relays!
Perfect kit for a DIY home automation set up. My partner had been planning on making our home ‘smart’ with appliances that we thought would be convenient to activate by voice. This is another component that is easily installed and helps automate certain things in our home so that they work with home assistants. These are of excellent quality and it was very simple to understand how to use them and then doing so. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately I haven’t been able to fully install this by the time I make my review so my review is simply based on the construction and instructions with both look very positive, they come nicely packaged in a cardboard box then inside another cardboard box protecting it from damage.The units themselves are made of very solid plastic with metal contacts to accept your electrical wiring. Instructions are very clear although I’m no electrician so will be getting one in to fit these.

Small, versatile, and with lots of connectivity options
These Switchbot 1PM relays are very small but surprisingly versatile. They’re compact enough to be able to fit behind a light switch or socket (while still being able to use the switch) but are equally versatile enough for other applications that would benefit from remote switching. They support integration with a variety of popular smart home eco-systems as well as being controllable via the Switchbot app, and can be used via Bluetooth, WiFi or Matter which is impressive considering their size and relative cost.I had intended to use these to control some kitchen lights where it isn’t feasible to use smart bulbs, but unfortunately as other reviews have alluded to, a neutral wire is required so do ensure you have the appropriate wiring required for your intended application first. Despite this, they’re versatile enough that I’m sure to find some other use for them.

Impressive Little Smart Relays
I ordered these as I wanted to turn my garden power switch into a smart version but also to keep it dual pole for switching both the positive and negative which is something that standard smart switches don’t do.I have the dual pole fused switch in my lounge and when on it supplies the power to a distribution box on the outside wall which in turn supplies the power to several twin sockets around my fence and walls.On opening, this product comes as two small smart relays which was a nice surprise as I hadn’t read the listing properly and was only expecting one, lol. Both relays look to be nicely made and have a small footprint making them easy to fit behind most standard switches or sockets. Each of these is rated high enough to be used for most applications around the home from lighting to entertainment and even some heating.Installing one of these was fairly simple to do, the instructions are good enough to follow should you need them although you should really know about home electrics and wiring before doing anything to do with house electrical systems. Thankfully I am quite good with most things like this as I used to be an engineer before I retired so I did find this very straightforwards.As this device is small it fitted nicely inside the back box of the dual pole fused switch although the back box is the deep 50mm type so if you have a more shallow back box such as a 35mm it will depend on what type of switch is in place as to if this will fit behind it and if you only have a 20mm back box and is fitted a lot of the time with a Stan card light switch then I really don’t think that this will fit without some adaption.Once fitted, this paired up with the Switchbot app easily, I already had the app installed on my phone as I use curtain motors and Venetian blind tilts from Switchbot too. If you don’t already have the app then it is a free download for iPhones or for Android. When paired the relay can be turned on and off using the app from your phone or to go a step further the app can be added to a smart speaker such as Alexa and then the commands can be added to sequence or operated by voice. I added mine to a sequence so that it turns on at dusk which automatically turns all of my garden lights on and then when I give the command to Alexa that we are going to bed they automatically turn off, of coarse I can still use my voice to do this anytime as well.Overall, these are well made little devices that do a great job and are simple to set up, just be sure that you do have the space behind a switch or socket for this to fit.Recommended.

Switchbot es una de las marcas que más dispositivos domóticos fabrica, y al estar utilizando algunos de ellos con muy buen resultado, me animé a probar también estos relés.El fabricante los remite en una caja en cuyo interior, de forma individual, se encuentra cada uno de los dos relés que conforman el pack.En el momento en que abrimos cada una de las cajitas de los relés, encontraremos instrucciones de montaje, asà como una pegatina con el código de vinculación Matter de cada dispositivo. Este código también viene en una pegatina colocada en el propio relé y posteriormente lo podremos consultar también a través de la aplicación del fabricante. Los relés son de tamaño pequeño, fabricados en materiales plásticos resistentes, y cuenta con bornes que fijan bien los cables.Los relés, aparte de servir como tales, son parte integrante del ecosistema Switchbot y sirven a modo de repetidor Bluetooth para dispositivos de la marca (por ejemplo termómetros, medidores de CO2, sensores de apertura de puertas y ventanas), garantizando asà una buena recepción de la señal que emitan estos dispositivos.Los relé podemos utilizarlos tanto con corriente alterna (230V AC) como continua (24-30V DC). En mi caso, los estoy con corriente alterna para controlar varios enchufes de la vivienda. El amperaje máximo que soportan es de 16A en corriente alterna y 10A en corriente continua. Este amperaje nos va a permitir no solo utilizarlos con luces, sino que podrÃamos acoplarlo sin problemas a otros dispositivos siempre y cuando no superen ese amperaje.Para ponerlos en funcionamiento, tendremos que descargar la aplicación del fabricante y una vez registrados, pulsar sobre la opción de añadir dispositivos, seleccionando después relés y nuestro modelo en concreto. En ese momento, la aplicación nos ofrece una guÃa en video y una guÃa con imágenes para su montaje con interruptores de pared. La guÃa es completa y está bien explicada.Para funcionar en corriente alterna los relés necesitan obligatoriamente el cable neutro, que bien podemos bajar desde la caja de conexiones de la luz a la caja del interruptor o directamente colocar el dispositivo en la caja de conexiones. En general van a caber detrás de los interruptores, aunque va a depender del número de cables que se encuentren en la zona y de la profundidad de la caja donde se coloca el interruptor.Una vez que siguiendo las instrucciones hayamos terminado de colocar y activar cada relé (la aplicación nos guÃa posteriormente para añadirlos a nuestra red WiFi y fijar el modo en que queremos que funcione el dispositivo -pulsador, interruptor normal de dos posiciones, manejo solo desde la aplicación-.Ahora podremos manejar tanto desde la aplicación como desde un interruptor el relé, y en la aplicación veremos los datos de consumo, accediendo incluso a gráficas. Los consumos se registran cada cinco minutos.Hasta aquà tendrÃamos el funcionamiento dentro del ecosistema de Switchbot, pudiendo agregarlo a sistemas domóticos como Alexa gracias a la skill del fabricante.Sin embargo, los relés ofrecen Matter, que es un protocolo que va a permitirnos en este caso interactuar mucho más deprisa con nuestros relés y nuestros sistemas domóticos, dentro de la red local de nuestra casa, además de integrar bajo un mismo sistema domótico dispositivos de distintos fabricantes.Para poner el protocolo en funcionamiento, tendremos que seguir las instrucciones de la aplicación y posteriormente con el código de validación que figura en las instrucciones, en una pegatina en el propio dispositivo y también podemos consultar en la aplicación, podremos enlazarlo con Alexa, Apple Homekit, Google Home, Home Assistant asà como con todos los sistemas domóticos que admitan Matter.Notas sobre Matter aplicables a nuestros relés:- En ocasiones el enlace inicial mediante Matter falla, si es el caso, basta con repetir el proceso de enlace.- Actualmente podemos encender y apagar los relés pero no podemos acceder a datos de consumo mediante Matter (estos los tendremos siempre disponibles en la aplicación no obstante). Matter sigue ampliando sus posibilidades dÃa a dÃa con lo que es posible que podamos contar en un futuro también con datos de consumo a través del protocolo.- Los relés ofrecen la posibilidad de vincular con Matter otros dispositivos del fabricante que no cuenten con el protocolo.Pros:- Diseño pequeño.- Posibilidad de ser utilizados en corriente alterna y continua.- Control mediante la aplicación y el sistema del fabricante, manualmente o mediante Matter.- Reportes de consumo bastante precisos según mis pruebas.- La aplicación ofrece los datos de potencia actual (W), amperaje actual (A), voltaje actual (V), consumo del dÃa en kWh, consumo del dÃa anterior en kWh y tiempo de uso en el dÃa. Permite también crear automatizaciones como programar encendido y apagado a determinadas horas, de este modo podemos ajustar el uso del dispositivo conectado al relé a nuestras necesidades y en mi caso, a las horas en que la luz es más barata.Contras:- El consumo se mide cada cinco minutos y esta cantidad de tiempo no es regulable.- En ocasiones al abrir la aplicación y cargar datos de consumo, es algo lento hasta que podemos acceder a verlos.En cuanto al precio, y dada la calidad del dispositivo y la versatilidad que ofrece, los recomiendo. He quedado muy satisfecho con ellos.

Ich nutze den SwitchBot 1PM nicht im Haus, sondern in meinem Wohnwagen, um dort nach und nach ein kleines, flexibles Smart Home aufzubauen. Besonders wichtig war mir, dass der Plug mit Apple HomeKit und Home Assistant kompatibel ist â das klappt über Matter absolut zuverlässig.Das Relais ist bei mir im Einsatz, um Lampen zu schalten, das Batterieladegerät zu überwachen und den Stromverbrauch im Blick zu behalten. Trotz der Camping-Umgebung läuft alles stabil â der Plug arbeitet sehr zuverlässig, schaltet schnell und überträgt genaue Verbrauchsdaten (Spannung, Leistung, Stromstärke) in die SwitchBot-App.Dank Matter konnte ich den Plug problemlos in Apple HomeKit integrieren, und auch die Anbindung an Home Assistant über einen kompatiblen Thread-Hub war kein Problem.
