Fantastic Value Smart Bulb
First of all I have several Tapo products around the house, but this was my first time buying their smart bulbs. I am very impressed with the build quality and ease of setup via the Tapo app, which for me seems more straight forward than the setup involved with other brands. The lights are bright on the highest setting and easily dimmable to a nice warm glow, perfect for those family evenings watching a film.I love the fact that I can see the energy usage of each bulb within the app over several different time periods. It’s great to know that these are energy efficient bulbs and aren’t wasting energy.Of course these are fully compatible with Alexa and once again the setup process is simple and intuitive, needing only to activate the Tapo skill once and Alexa takes care of the rest.I would definitely recommend the Tapo L510 bulbs, they are a quality product, affordable and easy to use and setup.

Reliable and simple smart lighting gets the job done
I bought the Tapo L510B Smart Bulbs while renovating a property that’s currently unoccupied. My goal was to have lighting come on at night at random intervals to give the appearance that someone’s home, and these bulbs have done the job well for the past month.Setup was quick and straightforward. The bulbs were well-packaged, the instructions were clear, and the Tapo app paired with them easily. You do need an internet connection for the schedules to run, but once connected, everything worked reliably. The bulbs are slightly heavier than regular ones and made of plastic rather than glass, but this doesn’t impact their look or function. They blend into the home nicely, with only the slightly longer white casing setting them apart. In terms of performance, the brightness is good, and Alexa integration was seamless and responsive. I liked the sunrise/sunset scheduling feature, though I found it a bit clunky that I had to set separate actions to turn each bulb on and off.I can’t comment on energy savings due to lack of prior usage data at the property, but given the low wattage, I expect them to be efficient. The Tapo app is easy to navigate and generally stable, with minor room for improvement in automation setup.Overall, these bulbs are great value for money from a brand I trust for smart home products. They do exactly what they promise, and for that, I’m giving them five stars.

Very nice bulbs, but…
I like being able to adjust the brightness and even set the default brightness at less than 100%, but it can be inconvenient when you have to get a phone to make the bulbs brighter. And while they are pretty easy to pair, I find they often lose that pairing – sometimes 2-3 times a month (not all at the same time, thankfully). Purchased on sale, so I think they are a pretty good value overall. And it’s great to be able to turn off a light that the kids have left on.

Most reliable system I have used
Smart bulbs and buttons are great but having used them for 10 years now, they come with a lot of issues.Firstly they lose connection all the time. The reason things like your Ring cameras and Lifx bulbs lose connection is that they’re cheap and the WiFi bands that they support are limited. When your router or Mesh Wifi rotates it’s bands/frequencies in order to ensure your Wifi is not colliding with nextdoors, if it moves to a band that is unsupported then everything goes offline!!!Secondly the backends of these system just go down or are unreliable. I have found especially with Lifx they just randomly go down, usually when you need them most!Thirdly the reality of smart kit is that you need some way for everyone to be able to use them. For example, are you going to ask your parents in law to download the app, give them admin permissions and to use the app to switch the bathroom light on? No!!!Now I have persevered for years with Lifx and Flic buttons and, the flic buttons run out of power all the time, disconnect and also they’re not very robust. Add the crappy Lifx bulbs into the equation and you have a system thats just unreliable. So I recently took advantage of the black frinday deal and replaced everything with Tapo. So far it has been night and day better.Tapo kit is way cheaper than anything else on the market. It has an ever evolving app thats easy to use and intuitive to me and the smart buttons work brilliantly.I have not had 1 outage or issue in 2 months now, where I used to get at least 1 bulb go funky per month for no reason at all!!!!So the bulbs are basic, however they have a very nice temperature to them. The Lifx ones were better in that respect but I almost got all of my bulbs replaced for the price of just 1 Lifx one, so I don’t miss the price!!!I have even got a camera hooked up to the little smart hub and I have had literally no hiccups at all.Compared to anything else I have used these are so much better. I am so impressed.

It’s early days but possibly best bulbs so far!
Not sure if I’ll be putting a jinx on these bulbs but 2 weeks in use and so far so good.I’m now onto my third make of smart bulb and I realise technology advances over time but these were incredibly easy to set up and get running on a daily routine.Original Wemo bulbs needed their own hub in a power socket and weren’t brilliant. Next Lepro (Lamp UX) were very unreliable with wifi connections lost on a frequent basis until I eventually got sick of them and bought these Tapo’s.5 bulbs fitted and working within an hour – and that includes the fiddly cases on the garden, drive and porch lights! Work fine with our Google Assistant too. Fingers crossed it stays that way.Not sure if it makes any difference but I also have a Tapo range extender on the wifi which was in place before the new bulbs. I put it in to help with the connectivity of the outside lights but they still kept dropping out anyway. The Tapo bulbs have worked perfectly for now – let’s hope it stays that way!

J’adore ces ampoules. Elles sont supposées tenir très longtemps mais sur la dizaine que j’ai achetées, une n’a pas tenu la semaine. J’espère que ça va durer dans le temps !
