Cheap and cheerful! Works great in both Japan and USA
= Two pin adaptors: Better than three pins! =The people who complain that this plug lacks three prongs are missing the point of this brilliant little thing. The three pin plugs only work in a select few countries like the USA. Two pin plugs like this one work in both grounded countries and ungrounded countries (e.g. USA vs Japan). Most of the plugs used in grounded countries are two pin anyway.Beware of the many three pin adaptors that claim they work in Japan, Taiwan etc. They don’t!!A few new buildings in North America use TRR sockets with a shutter like another reviewer posted. These are a bit more difficult to plug into regardless of whether you are using a native plug or this adapter. Sometimes it needs a bit of a jiggle.= This particular adaptor =I usually buy brand-name adaptors to ensure they’re of a decent quality. Decided to try these and was pleasantly surprised. The plastic is a bit light and hollow, but they are well moulded and reasonably attractive. They are also fairly compact for UK to Type A adaptors, which is great because it leaves you clearance to plug something else in. However, even these are still slightly too big to allow you to plug two of them into a normal Type A dual socket. I reckon they can shave another 5mm off the footprint of these, and then they’d be perfect!I’ve inserted many UK plugs into these and they all fit snug and well. These aren’t like some cheap adaptors that lack safety shutters. You just need to press the plug firmly in place.All in all, very happy with the purchase 🙂

Very Good Value
We used these on holiday in Peru and they worked very well. No issues at all. The quality was very good and the reason we bought two was because in another review someone mentioned there’s went faulty after a few goes but to be honest these two were just great with no faults at all. Would be happy to recommend to anyone looking for a good value adaptor.
