I like this rack a lot. It is my first computer rack, so I don’t have a frame of reference. But as far as I am concerned, these are the things I like about it:- easy to assemble- sturdy- well priced- fairly clear instructions- came with a nice template to drill holes on the wall.All in all I am happy with this purchase.

The TECMOJO 12U Open Frame Rack is a great entry point for anyone starting their homelab or network setup. While it’s advertised as 12U, you effectively get 10U of usable space because the top and bottom slots are taken by support brackets. Still, what you get for the price â shelves, screws, cable management, and mounting feet â makes it a solid value.The rack is about 20 inches deep, which is enough to house a mix of networking and server gear. Iâve got a Unifi UDM, a Unifi HD Pro 24 PoE switch, a CyberPower UPS, and a Node 804 sitting on top â all mounted securely. Itâs rated to handle around 130lbs, so if youâre wall-mounting it, make sure to reinforce accordingly. I used my own lag bolts (not the included ones) into 3/4â plywood with 2×6 backing between 24â studs â itâs rock solid.A few quirks: I wish the rack supported cage nuts on both sides. Having to screw and unscrew components directly into the frame is a bit tedious. But once everything is in place, it’s not a dealbreaker.What I liked:Great value with shelves and accessories includedSturdy enough to support a heavy homelab stackDeep enough for most gearTop shelf and wire grommets are a nice touchWhat I didnât like:Only partially cage nut compatibleUsable space is 10U, not the full 12UFinal Thoughts:If youâre just getting into rack mounting your gear, this is a solid pick. At $99 it is worth it for small/home networks. Problem may be space. The dimensions of this rack are bulky and you won’t realize until you mount it on a wall or leave it on the ground. I was able to mount it on wall in a small closet over those crappy clothing wire racks in a spare bedroom. Perfect height for my needs because I couldn’t use the upper U’s of the rack. Only used the bottom 5 U’s with a vent. I know its a bit of overkill on space and price but good for organization and use of space.

Just building this thing I knew right away it was way higher quality than I thought it would be. There’s something really solid and just great about this. I think if you’re looking for a rack this is one to really consider especially since you get those two shelves with it too. 10/10 product, recommend to anyone.

The rack feels pretty sturdy and i have no fears it might fall apart under the weight of my two 4u servers and other equipment. including 2 rack shelves is a really nice bonus as well. i have subtracted a star from my review because i bought the 16u version of the rack and i dont think that is a very accurate description of it. its technically 14u (maybe 15u if you are willing to forgo one of the cross supports on either the top or bottom). Basically the cross supports along the top and bottom take up 1u of space each from the total space. it would have been nice to not lose that space to support structure.
