Solid and compact mounting bracket with space-saving foldable design
I needed a small rack solution for a few network devices and this 4U bracket ticked all the right boxes. Iâve bought open-frame racks before, but this one stands out for being compact, well-built, and adaptable. The cold rolled steel construction feels sturdy and the powder coating gives it a very tidy finish that should hold up over time. Itâs rated to take 20kg, and Iâve mounted a 1U switch, patch panel, and some basic cabling gear to it without any sign of strain or bending. One of the best parts is the flexibility in how it can be mounted. Iâve fixed mine vertically to a wall in a tight corner, but it could just as easily go flat under a desk or even horizontally depending on the layout. The foldable arms make it easy to tuck away when not fully in use, which actually helps keep the area much less cluttered than a fixed frame would.Cable management is straightforward thanks to the open design, and thereâs enough room to reach in and swap things out without needing to remove everything. The included screws and cage nuts are absolutely fine for the job – nothing fancy, but they did the job and did it well.Overall, if youâre working with limited space or just donât need a full cabinet, this is a strong, practical bit of kit that mounts securely and keeps things tidy.

Tecmojo wins again
Having used a lot of Tecmojo gear in the past and having built entire racks out of their stuff, when this came up for review I knew I had to give it a go.Not just because I expected quality rack gear but because I had the PERFECT application for this. I’ve been working with a factory for about 15yrs now and as long as I have been visiting the site, there has been a switch on a shelf. It used to be a noisy Netgear, it later got up upgraded to a Ubiquiti but they lived on a shelf made of two brackets and roughly cut chipboard with no facing on the ends.. and they were happy, it kept the kit out of the way and it worked which is all they really wanted it to do.This is such an improvement, the equipment now lives against the wall and without having to do the old trick of abusing the rack ears as wall mounts, it also now has room for multiple units which is something you cannot do by abusing rack ears.In this setup (see pics) there is also a lot of legacy spaghetti but mounting the switch in the middle slot of this 3U version has multiple advantages, not least of which is space behind to hide some of those cabling sins. Having the multiple U available also offers some compensation for an uneven wall, you’ll see in my pics that the wall is so uneven I had to space off one of the mounting points. On the subject of mounting, although I only have one and so can obviously only upload pics of one mounting option… there is nothing to stop this being used as a vertical rack (sensible weight limits being applied of course).. want a switch and a patch panel under an existing cupboard? Tecmojo has you covered.I also like the fact that this comes out of the box as one piece.Think about it, the same end result could have been achieved with two brackets, space 19″ appart… but then I’d have had to space them and make sure they lined up level. The star of the show here is the metal bar connecting the two sides of this little 3U rack. It doesn’t even get used in the mounting process (the screws go through the side pieces themselves) but its presence ensures that those two side pieces are always perfectly aligned.Installation was as simple as offering it up to the wall with a level and marking four holes, drill, plug, screw it up.No measuring, no individual levelling.

Awesome space saving rack
Awesome space saving rack. Personally I don’t have the room for a full scale server rack and frankly don’t want to spend the huge amount of money on one either. This is the perfect solution, cheap and very effective. I got the 3U rack and it was easy to mount to the wall and very minimal amount of space taken up. You can choose the size of the rack so if you only need a 1U then it would take up even less space.

Strong Build Quality, Compact and Very Useful
I recently built a rack system just for my downstairs network and power sockets, this sits behind my audio / video unit and helps to keep everything much tidier. After building the rack I still required something to hold my twenty four port network switch from which I run the cables to a patch panel on the rack so when I saw this wall mount that would allow me to fit the switch facing upwards for easy access it looked ideal. On opening, this comes as a foldable wall mount 4U rack with a smooth black finish, it is ready assembled and simply needs to opened up and screwed to the wall for use. Along with the main mount comes the wall mounting hardware and a set of cage nuts and bolts so it is ready to use straight from the box. The metal used in the build is of a good thickness and weight so it does feel very sturdy and once mounted it is good and secure. My network switch only takes up one of the four tiers so for now I have added one six way plug extension and two blanking panels which gives me some expansion should I need it in the future. Each unit fitted perfectly into the spacing and the cage nuts slotted securely and tightened without crossing or stripping.Overall, this has a very solid build and is simple to install and to use, being able to mount devices facing upwards and horizontally is very useful in my case and it doesn’t protrude from the wall by too much so it is easily concealed but it still has enough space to make a practical network or media rack.Recommended.

Missing the main parts
This i got to hold a couple of switches under a desk. What i received was missing the 2 sides which means i can’t use at all. I have other products by this brand and have been really happy with them so i’m sure this is just an oversight but it’s an oversight that means they’re not fit for purpose.
