One of the best external Cat6 cables Solid copper core
Tecmojo CAT6 UTP Outdoor LAN Ethernet Network Bulk Cable 30M, Gigabit Pure Copper 23AWG PVC+PE Dual Jacket CPRThis Bulk cable kit has 30m cat 6cable, 2 cat6 plugs and a wire stripper.The 23 AWG cable is excellent quality, marked with the Tecmojo brand and full specification and compliance information, and a paper CE and UKCA Declaration of Conformity is also enclosed. The four pairs are solid copper, none of the Copper Coated Aluminium that is so common in Cat cables pretending to be better quality than they are!.The cable is unshielded, and the inner and outer jackets are tough. The cable is advertised for outdoor use and can be buried. Burying the cable should be no problem but, as is common with this type of cable, the cable isn’t armoured. Therefore, the cable needs to be protected against damage when buried, especially in garden areas etc. where a spade or other tool may be used.The twoTecmojo branded keystone jack plugs are a type that I’ve not seen before. I’ve not fitted them yet. The plugs are also available separately from Amazon should you want more. The included wire stripper worked well when I tried it on the cable.This kit will be useful to me as I need to upgrade some of my network system and wiring, including running network cable outside.I am pleased with this kit and since getting this kit for review, I’ve bought two more.

Wires for WiFi
Tecmojo does it again with another quality product and accessories.I like this kind of cable for outdoor WiFi deployments as it holds up to sunlight, it is also solid copper and so perfect for running APs from PoE without worrying about losses in the cable.I’m liking this Tecmojo stuff as they seem to want to associate the brand with quality, as such they won’t put that name on substandard products and they always throw in some accessories. With their rack gear it was all matching cage nuts and screws, with this cable we get some plugs and a cable stripper.Personally, I don’t like the plugs. It’s not that there is anything wrong with them I just have issues with this style of crimpless connector when I have perfectly good ‘normal’ plugs and a crimp tool on hand, I’m clearly not the target audience though and if you don’t have the tools to crimp your own plugs then the inclusion of two tool free RJ45 plugs could be just what you need.Whatever plugs you put on your outdoor cable, my top tip from experience is to absolutely pack them with silicone grease before you fit/crimp them. The only surefire way I’ve found to stop water getting into outdoor deployments is to simply make sure that there is nowhere for the water to be by filling it with something else first!The other packed in accessory is the cable stripper, now this I do like. This is way better than anything I’ve seen thrown in as an extra in fact, it is better than the stripper/cutters built into most of the crimp tools I’ve owned over the years!Not only does it have the usual “strip” blades and “cut” blade, there are two stripping points in the end which have an ADJUSTABLE HEIGHT blade. I can set-and-forget this and just whizz the ends off cables without having to employ any feel or judgement, the tool does it all for me!

Excellent performance
I needed a reliable internet connection in my garden shed for my home office setup. Running this cable from the house was the chosen solution. The cable itself feels very substantial and tough, clearly designed to withstand the elements. I ran it along a garden wall and buried a small section under the lawn. It handled being pulled and positioned without any sign of damage. After terminating the ends and plugging everything in, the connection was immediately stable and fast. I am getting the full speed of my home internet package out in the shed, with no dropouts or lag during video calls. It has provided a solid, wired connection that Wi-Fi simply could not match for reliability over that distance. The performance has been flawless.

Solid weatherproof outdoor cable â perfect for PoE cameras
I bought this cable mainly to hardwire a garden and shed camera that had been running on solar and WiFi. The wireless connection was right on the edge of usable â some days it worked fine, others the signal dropped depending on the weather or even which way the wind would blow. The camera actually has an RJ45 port and supports PoE, so once I was drilling a hole in the wall for broadband anyway, I decided to do the job properly with this Cat6 UTP outdoor cable.The quality is excellent. Itâs proper 23AWG pure copper, not the cheaper CCA you often see, and you can feel the sturdiness in the dual jacket. I only needed around 15m, so I cut off the excess, crimped RJ45 connectors, and it worked straight away with my PoE switch. No signal issues at all â just a rock-solid connection and the camera now runs perfectly without the solar panel that used to fail now and again.The UV-resistant jacket makes it ideal for outdoor use, and Iâm confident itâll last in the weather without degrading. It even came with keystone jacks and a stripper, which saved me buying extras.For the price, getting a proper pure copper outdoor-rated cable with accessories included is great value. Itâs made my setup far more reliable and I donât have to worry about patchy WiFi or dodgy solar panels anymore.This is a really well made Cat6 cable that delivers exactly what youâd expect, and worth it for anyone needing a dependable outdoor network run. As it’s a weatherproof cable, it’s one of the toughest Cat6 cables I have come across and works like a dream. Definitely a top quality 5 star cable for me.
