Brilliant kit and value
This piece of kit has been invaluable for us working in a mailroom. We have been able to scan 1D, 2D and QR codes! This has helped us keep a track of all the recorded mail we receive. The cost of this machine was an absolute steal too! I was looking at other scanning machines that had similar features and they were costing upwards of £450!!! Save yourself money and buy this little gem!

Works with Linux as well
I have bought this for an app project that has to run on Linux and I can confirm it works out of the box. As you can see in the image attached there is input in the Terminal from the Tera device. You can also use any text editor to get the input from the Tera device.Tested on Debian with Linux kernel 6.1.0-25-amd64.

Which barcode will it scan
When scanning from barcodes close to each other it is hard to know which one it will pickup. Otherwise works well

Does not work with UK keboard layout. No online manuals seem to be compatible. Sending back as no UK working product sold in UK. Very bad support site.

just what we need
Bought for a medium sized business for end of line packaging verification. Scans 1D (GS1), 2D, and QR barcodes. I like that it’s wired and doesn’t need charging or battery changes.

Needed a budget reader as not going to using it a lot. Plugged it in, opened a document editor and it just worked no fuss. Nice

These are really good! I was dubious because of the price – but well impressed. !
We can use this device all around our warehouse which is 20,000 SqF – no hassle we even tried it through the office wall (plasterboard and glazing) and that works too. We now just leave the dongle in the main pc and wander about merrily zapping everything. Like a ray gun but less fun. Read normal barcodes and QR codes perfectly and is quick to read too…. the built in light is super helpful because sometimes the light in the warehouse can be shaded by shelving. Highly recommended. (the stand is good quality too)

Es un escáner que lee todo tipo de códigos, tanto 1D como 2D. Es muy rápido en las lecturas y lee códigos 2D muy pequeños sin problemas. También lee códigos 2D bastante borrosos. Probé con fotocopias malas, incluso con fondos grisáceos y los leyó sin problemas.Su construcción es robusta y tiene una protección de goma alrededor de la cabeza.El cable USB es estándar USB-A/USB-B, por lo que no hay problema de repuestos.La transmisión vÃa radio para escanear códigos de uno en uno es más que suficiente.Para volcado de datos almacenados, si son muchos, (en mi caso varios miles) es mejor utilizar el cable, que es bastante rápido. Eso si, hay que tener la precaución de configurarlo en modo rápido, porque la configuración por defecto introduce un retardo entre caracteres.Tiene dos modos de funcionamiento: simulación de teclado y puerto serie.Sin dudas lo recomiendo.

Verwende den Scanner für selbst erstellte QR Codes hauptsächlich für geschäftliche Zwecke. Ich scanne damit Kabeltrommeln die ich an verschiedene Monture ausgebe, welche ich ebenso wie die Trommel-Nummern als QR-Code gespeichert habe, bzw. mit Aufklebern an den Trommeln angebracht habe.Funktioniert tadellos, wenn man sich ein gutes Konzept erstellt hat. Würde ihn jederzeit wieder kaufen, sollte er jemals den Geist aufgeben. Hab das Teil jetzt 6 Jahre und keine Probleme damit gehabt. Einen weiteren Scanner mit dem ich die Codes auf meinen Musik-CD’s einscanne verwende ich ebenso, allerdings privat und auch mit diesem bin ich sehr zufrieden.
