TFA Dostmann 98.1114.02 Plastic Case For Sensor ITEM White 10.2 x 9.5 x 17.5 cm

Good option for Netatmo outdoor weather sensor.
I chose this thanks to another reviewer mentioning they installed one of these for their Netatmo sensor; it works a treat and was only about a third of the cost of the Netatmo branded version.

Great for Ecowitt thermo-hygro and lightning sensors
Bought two of these for use with my Ecowitt WH31 and WH57 themo-hygro and lightning sensors for outside use and they both fit a treat with plenty of room to spare. The unit comes in three parts:1) the wall/shed mounting bracket.2) the circular outer protective casing3) the bayonet-lock base which contains the sensor mounting post.There are two modes of fixing supplied: 4 screws and wall plugs for the wall or shed mount and two cable ties for affixing to a pole.Fixing the sensor inside the case is easy: first, unscrew the base from the outer case by a 1/8th of a turn clockwise (looking from bottom) and free the base from the three locking lugs.Mount the sensor on the base by using either the supplied piece of Velcro attached to the vertical post inside the case and the back of the sensor or by wrapping a small cable tie (also supplied) fairly tightly around the aforementioned vertical post and sensor. I went for the Velcro method. Then, simply lift the base up to the outer case, align the three holes on the base with the lugs on the underside of the case and twist anti-clockwise (looking from underneath) to lock the base holding the sensor in place.The thermometer does read about 1.5C high when strong sun is directly on it, but the lightning detector works fine (well, after I set the DIP switches correctly that is!)Two things to be aware of:1) the internal diameter of the case is only just over 60mm, so check the width of your sensors before buying.2) the wall/shed mount requires the case body to be slid down over the mount, so around 200mm of space is required above the mounting bracket in order to slide the sensor case down in place onto the mount.Overall, a decent quality case that seems to work well, but perhaps a little narrow for sensors over 60mm wide and 160mm tall.

Temperature sensor housing unit
This is a great mini stevenson screen to house the outdoor temperature sensor for my weather station ….. it definitely keeps the rain and snow off the sensor and I’ve got it placed on the shaded side of my home

Scale of economy
I suppose if everyone wanted a weather station, then this company would be shelling out these Stevenson-type screens by the millions. However, since you and I are in the minority, then economies of scale mean this plastic screen is expensive to manufacture in such small numbers.That said, it has the requisite number of louvres in the design to make it appear authentic enough, as far as a Stevenson screen goes.I use mine in a fairly sheltered spot on an north-facing outside garage wall, with just a BME280 sensor in it running off I2C connected to an ESP32 over 4 wires of a 50cm CAT5E cable on the inside of the garage wall. The ESP32 takes the BME280 data and then processes it and broadcasts it using ESPNOW to communicate with a central weather base station I’ve made which sits further inside the garage.This screen now nicely compliments the sturdy DF Robot anemometer and wind vane sensors and my weather station now looks professional and tidy.

Top bescherming voor je buiten sensor.

On l’a acheté car on a perdu beaucoup de boîtier a cause de la pluie. Soit disant que les boitiers sont étanches, mon œil. Du coup on a acheté la protection et ça protège très bien. Un petit demol le prix un peu élevé.
