Deco X55 to improve speeds and signal. Used with Sky Q
Purchased as a gift for my parents who have always struggled with a terrible WiFi signal in their 2 bedroom flat. A 3 node mesh system like the X55 is maybe a touch overkill for their usage, though itâs future-proof enough for them.WiFi quality has since improved throughout the house and enough to reach outside to connect a wireless doorbell. Setup was quick and easy enough, although I did Google and prepare myself for any niggles prior in advance to ensure compatibility with their current router and Sky Q set-up. Note for those who have Sky Q boxes, be sure to hardwire the node via Ethernet to the Sky Q boxes and disable the 2.4G and 5G bands on the Q boxes. The app is intuitive enough to use and, certainly at this time while everythingâs working, easy enough for my parents to understand. All in all, very happy with this purchase, especially having got it on offer at the time of purchase (£199), especially as my parents can now reliably reach the full speeds capable by their line throughout the house with no potential for signal dropping.

Superb wifi coverage, outstanding performance really easy to setup.
Tp Link Deco X55 have reduced the wifi dead spots in our home with fantastic speed delivery, hard wired the main house with cat6 for the maximum speeds with 5 units in place and 1 linked on wifi. Turned off hub wifi so the deco units can create a mesh wifi to supply all smart sockets and light switches plus D235 smart door bell, smart TV’s and the Alexa’s. Quality product, fantastic signal strength, A very reliable product.

Awesome product and seamless with Starlink
Awesome product. We live in an old house with thick stone walls in the middle of nowhere. We have Starlink. I read so many reviews, mostly confusing and too technical (I just wanted wifi all over the house and as much of it as I could). I had Mercusys prior and they just did not cut it. And Iâm not paying £700 for the top end products. Finally, a search with Chat GPT for the most optimal and best priced (max budge5 for me ) option suggested these Deco units. Absolutely brilliant. Wifi is booming. Plugged in, QR code the app and I was on wifi throughout the house in under 10 minutes. Cannot recommend enough.

Deco X55 – Early days, but so far so good…
Only had the X55 system installed for about 5 days, but so far i’ve been pretty impressed.Regardless of some the reviews saying it was tricky to set up, it really wasn’t. The Deco app from Apple’s app store guided me thru it step-by-step, and even tho i am pretty tech-savvy, i think it should be pretty understandable by those who aren’t.The mesh environment created by the three devices now give me full wifi signal within my house of which nearly EVERY internal wall is solid brick (it’s an old 1940’s semi-detached), and even tho it’s only a 2 bedroom property, this has caused no end of wifi terribleness in the past 8 years plus that I’ve lived here. There are 3 ethernet ports on each unit, which is more than enough for most people’s needs, but you can attach network switches to these should you need to hard-wire anything more. In my case i do need more, so i’ve done just that.I would’ve given this system a 5 star review, but it doesn’t really broadcast much past the external walls of the house…even though it claims to cover up to, 6,500 square feet, BUT as i mentioned before, the house is made of so many concrete walls. Importantly, the only thing on the outside of the house that i really needed it to connect to is my Ring Doorbell 3, and that is connected no issue.I will be running a 20m ethernet cable from one of the units down to my garage of which there will be an Apple Airport Express 2nd gen attached to it to broadcast another network, which should cover the garden somewhat. All in all, so far, i’m pretty stoked with it all.

WOW! I Never knew I need this until I had it! Game changer!
Living in a relatively long house with 1 router, we experienced some internet drop outs. We contacted our provider and over a number of months, they sent engineer after engineer adding boosters etc. etc. and nothing fixed the issue. We’re a family of 4, all the expected tech – Tablets, Phones, Laptops and Sky Q (all digital sky package – no internet, no TV)So, as you’d imagine, these drop outs were frustrating.Over time, a few people kept saying ‘oooooh, I’ll tell you what you need! A mesh system’ – mostly blokes at the pub! Obviously, this went in one ear and out the other.Changed broadband providers, they came out and suggested we got a mesh system as the house is quite long, and they couldn’t guarantee full connection.Ordered this! Worked straight out of the box, no huge dramas! Connected it to the WiFi and I was away. This basically works as a second internet access point, but as it has 3 routers, or a mesh system, pushes good access around the entire house. So we still have a router, but this is the booster.Since install, I’ve next had a drop out and everything works amazingly well! You access this as you would a router, you can decide which products get priority access, and there is an amazing feature ‘Guest WiFi’ – so when you have a guest over that needs the internet, you can give them the guest WiFi pass code which can be changed in seconds or sent over as a QR code. It’s a great feature. All in all, you’ll have 3 internet connections, your main router which you can still use, and the 2 points on the mesh system. You can also create new access points, so you don’t have to stop at 3.Also, if you have kids or like to be a pain, you can kick devices from the connection or even add time limit’s to each device. Limits could be an amount of time per day, or can only access between the hours of, so those pesky kids can get offline at 9pm and get to bed. Whooo!

Great device, easy to setup directly to the NBN modem. Additional Deco Mesh can be added seamlessly as needed throughout the house. The parental controls are bonus through Deco app, can control your kids laptop internet access duration and block any websites. Overall great product by TP Link, thanks Amazon for the awesome deal and fast shipment.

Très bon produit, toutefois trop cher.Bonne application, installation facile.
