Straight forward and does what it says on the tin
I use this to switch my peripherals between my personal desktop and work laptop.Works as expected with no performance degradation, the button to switch between the two is responsive and the light makes it clear which is seleted. The two cables that are provided with the product are of a good quality and a reasonable length.

Cheapest option for KVM, great for WFH with monitor(s) that have multiple inputs
This device allowed me to connect a keyboard, mouse, USB webcam and a wireless receiver for a headset to 2 computers at the same time. I mounted it behind one of my screens with double sided tape to keep the massive amounts of wires out of sight. With 1 button, I can switch between the machines easily. I still need to switch my monitors to the other inputs manually if both machines are running simultaneously, but most modern monitors will just switch to the correct input automatically when one or the other machine are first powered on. Unfortunately this UGreen switch doesn’t have an autoswitch feature, but that suits me and its literally one button press to switch.I’ve previously bought usb extension cables form UGreen and the quality is always top notch. Even the USB cables provided with this switcher are thick, sturdy cables that should last and work for a long time to come once treated properly. For those using this for working at home, one small bonus for me was that this passes through keyboard input to the laptop even before Windows has booted, so I can use my external keyboard to enter a Bitlocker pin and not have to pull out the laptop to use the built in keyboard. There’s a lot of variables with this setup and it won’t work for everyone, I’m just noting it here that the UGreen switcher did NOT cause any issues for me. If entering bitlocker pin with an external keyboard works for you now, including this switcher into the mix shouldn’t change that.

Makes life so much easier!
Hybrid working means I have a laptop for in office days and a PC for working from home days when I need the extra graphics power. Some days I need to use both. This little box has made that so much easier. No more having to unplug a keyboard or mouse dongle from the laptop and crawl around on the floor to put it in the back of the PC and vice versa. They’re all pluged into this little box, and with the press of a button it swaps between the 2 devices. For me, this is the height of convenience. I even have a little fan plugged in, so even if you’re just using the one machine, you can still use it as a hub.You can power this externally, but it doesn’t come supplied with a cable or plug. But it’s there as an option if the devices you’re wanting to power are needing too much energy. It works fine for most uses without. The one thing I’d change and the reason for dropping a star, is the cable ports. You have the ports to connect to the 2 devices on the back, and the other ports on the front. This means it doesn’t look the tidiest as you’ll have cables poking out of both sides. With my set up, it means it doesn’t sit flush on the desk because of this, but it’s a small price to pay for the convenience of it.

Works perfectly
Works with my multi button mouse for proper support unlike a previous device I had.

Great value for sharing peripherals across two computers
I needed to be able to share a pair of monitors plus a keyboard and mouse between my home PC and my work laptop on my desk (I work from home). I looked at full KVM switches but they tend to be a bit chunk, expensive and often don’t have the combination of video ports I required for my hodgepodge of kit. In the end I decided to run two display cables to each monitor form the two machines and share the keyboard and mouse (plus a fitbit charger and TomTom GPS watch dock) using this device. IT is small, neat and comes with two chunky USB cables which are generously long. It sits unobtrusively on my desk with only the small blue light to indicate which channel is active and the switch over between channels is instant. There is a facility to have an external power supply if you need to power multiple devices which draw lots of power, but unless you’re looking to charge a couple of smartphones simultaneously or you only have older USB2 ports available (max current 500mA) you won’t need it, which is just as well as you don’t get one with the device. If you are using a USB3 port on a reasonably recent machine it should be capable of supplying more than enough juice for most peripherals. I’ve got a few UGreen items now and I’m really quite impressed with their build quality and functionality.

Does its job well
I use the switch to connect my mouse, keyboard and also headset (including mic). Everything is working flawless so far.I had an issue with “Not enough USB controller resources” after I connected everything including mic. I solved by lowering sound format from Studio to DVD Quality. Worked well for both working and gaming. It takes only a second or two for devices to become functional on the other PC.

Good but doesnât last
This is a great little USB KVM/Switch. I use it to share peripherals between my work laptop and my home computer. At the end of the day, one quick press of the switch and Iâm gaming with the same keyboard and mouse I was using during the day and nothing needed to be unplugged and replugged. Works great and does exactly what I need.Howeverâ¦. This is the second one of these I have bought in less than two years. On the first one two of the USB ports failed and didnât work (just after the 1 year warranty it course) so I had to buy a replacement. I was annoyed that I had to buy a new one, but am happy with the product so bought the same one again.Note that this switch doesnât come with a power cable and so youâll need to buy that separately. They are cheap and plentiful on Amazon, but one to be aware of.
