Works Perfect for my needs, good quality
I purchased this to allow me to use my same webcam on two different laptops, it came with two USB cables so was a straightforward job to connect up, and worked instantly from both computers at the press of a button. The only slight niggle I have is with the location of the ports, on hindsight it would have been better to get a switch with all 3 ports on the back so that I don’t have a cable sticking out the front and across my desk, but that is a minor issue and not a reflection on this switch which is a well made product.

Good once working
I initially had issues. When it was attached to a powered usb hub (5 devices), they just kept dropping in and out of windows, almost like a melody when connecting and disconnecting. Even with just one usb connected, it would drop out constantlySo I connected an unpowered cheapy hub with 3 of 4 usbs in use (keyboard, keypad and mouse) to just between two computers and no problem.Might just be me, but unit is hardware picky. I love it still, hence 4 out of 5 stars ð«¶ð»

Fine with Linux
Works just as expected with Manjaro Linux. There is a second or two delay after pressing button before the change to other computer but that is fine. A life changer as now no need for duplicate keyboards & mice. It works with USB hubs fine both powered & not.

Looks OK but one drawback
As far as switching between computers this works fine. However there is one important point to be aware of: It appears to join together the USB power (5 volts) from the two computers. I have noticed that when I try to shut one down it will not fully shut down until the other one is fully powered off.I have proved this by unplugging one of the USB connections from this selector and seeing the first computer then fully power off. It has not caused any damage yet but it is a bad design and could cause damage in some hardware situations.I believe that the manufacturers should address this issue. I am an electronics engineer and believe that it is not difficult for it to isolate the USB power from each computer.Additional comment: A did actually suffer a situation in which the USB power of one of the two computers failed to come up. I have now plugged in a “PortaPow USB Power Blocker” ( 5 GBP from Amazon ) in one of the USB connections to this selector. It all works fine now with the knowledge that the device is now only being powered by one computer and the 5 volts of the two are no longer connected together.

Ho 2 pc con monitor, tastiera wireless, mouse wireless in comune. Con questa soluzione (e un hub) passo in un secondo dall’utilizzare i devices con un PC o con l’altro a seconda della necessità . Funziona benissimo. Geniale!

When I got it, it looked a little intimidating but I went back to where I purchased it and they had an instructional video. Everything works good. When it switches over it does take about 10 seconds but not a big deal. Makes work a lot easier when you’re using two laptops.
