Perfect for sharing keyboard & mouse between 2 PCs
So easy to set up. Didn’t bother with instructions, just plugged keyboard and mouse into the side with 4 ports and the cables which come with it go in the side with 2 ports and each of the 2 PCs. For video, I have the 2 PCs attached to different ports on the monitor and switch the inputs with the buttons on the bottom of the monitor. Works perfectly. The switch box is black metal, looks good and seems very robust. Recommend,

Reliable but some switching issues.
Solid and reliable switch that works well, but intermittently switches between devices at random times, sometimes even when the other device is fully switched off. Not often enough to cause major issues but enough to be somewhat annoying. Otherwise very solid.

Works well.
Just recently installed it. A substantial metal clad item with 2 x USB3 cables and a type C charge cable. I have linked my 2 computers to it and at the moment it allows me to share the printer and scanner. I have not needed to connect the power supply as both my computers have wired keyboard and mouse. The indicator light is bright green and the changeover switch feels substantial. No problems with installation, just plug the cables in and away we go.

I originally gave this 5 stars because all seemed well…You can see my original review below – for what it’s worth – but now I’m experiencing problems.Suddenly, with this connected to my new PC, the PC refused to boot.Power on and boot attempted, but then the PC would shut down, sometimes even before the BIOS screen.Remove this device and the PC boots fine.I did read that some of these USB switches can cause power problems in the way they share the USB power rail.Some users of other (expensive branded) USB switchers report USB ports can be ‘fried’ by this sharing.So I’m not risking using this with my expensive computers!Before I encountered the above problem I did note it was no-longer working well with the Mac.I was getting pauses in mouse and keyboard activity and the audio interface kept losing contact producing loads of intermittent gaps in audio playback.So I cannot now recommend this device.Luckily I spotted the problems before my return window closed, so off it goes!————Original review…Those complaining that this doesn’t switch the video signal like a true KVM switch need to up their powers of observation. It it very apparent from the photos and description that this is designed to switch 4 USB ‘input’ ports between 2 ‘output’ ports and hence 2 computers.So to be shocked, when opening the package, that the device is exactly as described in the photos seems a bit odd to me!It does do its intended task very capably.I’m using this to switch mouse, illuminated keyboard and audio interface between a Windows 10 PC and an M1 Mac Mini.It works flawlessly with near instant switching between the 2 computers (if both are running) using the button (single press swaps).If only one of the computers is running, the USB is automatically routed to that computer.I handle video from the two computers by using the multiple input ports on my 2 monitors. So if I only switch one computer on, the monitors automatically switch to that input. If I’m running both computers I just manually switch the inputs on the monitors.This is a very well built device.Its metal construction (and weight) gives a feeling of quality.The switch has a positive feel and I’ve had no issues with port switching with the button.I haven’t needed to use the USB C power input as my illuminated keyboard is powered adequately by this device’s USB 3 port. My audio interface is externally powered so doesn’t draw any power from the device’s USB port.If you want to use more power hungry USB devices (like spinning 2.5 inch external drives) you’ll probably have to use the USB C power input to give a helping hand.This is a very competent USB switcher at a great price.I’m happy!

Le switch m’a permis de relier 1 clavier 1 souris et 1 adaptateur usb ethernet sur mes 2 pc : Portable et fixe.Ce que j’ai aimé :- Moin chère et facile à dénicher que dans les autres grandes surfaces.- Plus besoin de débrancher et rebrancher, lorsqu’on utilise 2 pc en même temps.- En métal, rare à ce prix.Ce que je n’ai pas aimé :- Manque de support pour fixer autrement : Le ruban adhesif par exemple. Bref, on en trouve de partout.

Fonctionne parfaitement pour partage de clavier, souris, clé usb entre deux ordinateurs. Lorsqu’un seul des deux ordinateurs est actif, il est automatiquement sélectionné: pas besoin de pousser sur le bouton dans ce cas. Pour un disque dur externe il faut alimenter le switch avec un adaptateur, comme précisé dans la notice.
