Improve your video call professionalism with eye-to-eye contact without obscuring your screen!
What a great idea, and close to perfection. I do a lot of video calls and demos where I need to be looking at my screen while on camera. The challenge with my old camera perched on top of my monitor was that it was (a) to high, so looking slightly down on me; and (b) that I never made virtual eye contact with the camera and thus those watching. Since I switched to this ingeniously tiny webcam I have been complimented by my colleagues on my “presence” & “professionalism” on the call. They are amazed that I seem to know so much about our products as I am always “speaking directly to the camera, rather than looking away to read info off my screen”. The truth is I’m staring straight at my screen and reading from there, but because this camera sits right in front of me it gives the impression I am just looking at the camera. Brilliant! Only 2 minor things to bear in mind:1. Skin Tones – come up a touch white, however this can be corrected in your camera SW/App.2. Clip Width – the transparent clip it comes with was not quite as wide as needed for my big 4k monitor…. however I 3D designed and printed an adapter that I have stuck on top of the monitor using double-sided sticky tape – now it’s perfect!
