Bright white but colours very dull.
Bright white but colours very dull.Ordered for review as i do like my LED coloured bulbs, these however are acceptable for the white light but the colours are just lack luster and very dim / dull. these work with alexa as you would expect these days however use the less popular BRAMesh skill and app, i already had the skill and app as i have tested a fair few of these now.I then proceeded to rip off the cover of the bulb to see what you actually get, as suspected the white Light was bright down to the 8 LED surface mounted LEDs, the colour though is driven by only 3 micro RGB LED chips so is no wonder why they are very dim.If it is just light mood lighting you are after then these should be sufficient, if it is a party with all the coloured lights being nice and bright then not so much. for me though these are for parties as i have WS2812B Light strips around the room and would need these to be bright so are a 3 star low quality set of bulbs to me.

Pretty decent smart bulbs in all honesty!
This is the 2nd set of VARICART Smart bulbs we’ve had the opportunity to test.In full transparency, we also have more expensive smart lighting from another brand that requires a hub. Each bulb costs around £30, which is quite steep. So it’s probably not the best or fair comparison given the price of these, but these VARICART bulbs are still pretty decent!The bulbs in this set offer a similar experience without needing a hub! The functionality is comparable (in some but not all ways), and we haven’t noticed a significant difference in brightness levels (if anything I’d say the VARICART bulbs are a tad brighter)These particular bulbs weren’t that easy to initially set up though, and we did have issues almost immediately. When we did get them to connect and work, we noticed some slow adjustments especially when using Alexa, though I’m not sure if this is an Alexa thing or a bulb thing in all honesty.Overall they are affordable, and it’s a cheap way to get smart lighting!3.5/5 – Good product, but improvements are needed in my opinion!

Decent smart lights with a less than great app
The lights are great and work as intended. No real problem there. They’re bluetooth, so no need to connect to a wifi network. They’re cheaper than most of the bigger brands, but work exactly the same. The app is very basic, but does the job. I do appreciate the fact that you can just install it and don’t need to make an account. Way too many smart home products require a full account, so this was refreshing to see. The UI/UX is mostly text-based, and not really very intuitive. Adding the lights was simple enough though, and once it’s added, you can basically ignore everything else and just set the colours you want. You can also set a schedule for when lights turn on/off, or change colours at specific times (red light before bed, etc…)I’d say the lights are 5* and the app is 4*. If all you want are some cheap, no-fuss smart lights, which don’t require additional accounts/permissions on your phone, then these will do the job well.

Cool smart bulbs
These are very cool smart bulbs and easy to use with Alexa. I love the colour variations and found it very simple to install them and then connect to my alexa. However, you also don’t need a hub which is great. You can create lovely soft lighting and cool colours- kids love them. These are well worth the money and I’d like them in every room in the house. Nice sturdy bulbs too

Good quality bulbs
These smart bulbs have been really good – we use Alexa for all our lights, and these worked really with with the routines we have set up.They are well packaged, weâve had no issues with them working and the colours are fun.
