Vibe WIFI + RF Programmable Room Thermostat Wireless Boiler Plus
The Optimum Vibe – model OP-WFSTAT is a Wi-Fi & radio frequency battery-powered programmable room thermostat with touch-screen controls, providing four timed temperature periods every 24 hours. The transmitter (Tx) has a large blue backlit display and runs a pre-programmed user adjustable temperature profile. Users can just touch the up or down control icon at any time to manually adjust the current temperature setting.
The Wi-Fi & radio frequency receiver (Rx) must be wall-mounted adjacent to the boiler, has auto-recognition open therm connections and volt-free switching; indicator l.e.d. lights showing power and load status and has a button for manual operation if required. The control set uses 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and the license-free 868MHz frequency and is pre-linked in the factory with a unique code.

Great for the price
For the price, this is a perfect thermostat with app control. I was not looking for one that is too smart and tried to put intelligence in the process of controlling heat (such as the Google Nest) but a simple thermostat that I could control from my phone.
The wiring was very easy (I replaced an old Siemens thermostat system that kept on losing the link between the thermostat and the controller). The terminology of the wires was different between the two, but easy to figure out with a bit of web search.
The app to use is Tuya, not the other one they suggest. Works perfectly with Tuya.
The initial configuration needs to be done while the wi-fi is in 2.4gHz mode only. This has to be done at router (or mesh node) level. If you don’t do that, you will not be able to configure the device (initial installation only). I did not have a problem with this as my first generation Google Mini speakers all needed this, and I am used to it.
Much easier to configure everything through the app and not the thermostat screen.
Indeed only four time ranges in a day, but this is fine as you can change the temperature manually from the app at any time (resets to your programming when it enters the next time period).
Manual is indeed tiny but it was very easy to find the PDFs on-line and print them.
The only restriction I found is that the Google Home integration, although it works, only allows changing from normal to eco mode, and allows no other controls. I would have liked “Hey Google, increase the temperature by one degree”, but I can only do this visually on the Tuya app and not through Assistant.
Overall, very happy, especially for the price.

No WiFi connection
The WiFi doesn’t connect to the router, well it did then it stopped and wouldn’t connect again sending it back .

Spot on for the money
I had to replace an old mechanical three wire Honeywell thermostat (nothing wrong with it, just not in the right place and no timer options).
I didn’t spend much time looking in to this – just went for it.
Easy to fit and set up.
The app they recommend doesn’t work on any Android that I can find – every device I tried, it said that it was made for an older version of Android – I tried a four year old phone and a new Pixel 9, neither would work (Oh, if you do look for it, it isn’t called C-Home like they say, it is called chome!).
I tried the alternative app they recommended (Tuya) and it all flew through.
It was so easy to connect the device(s) and then to program them – quite incredible for the price to be honest.
I wouldn’t want to have to set up the remote thermostat and programmer manually using the buttons, can imagine it is quite tedious – but I just didn’t need to touch it – just put the batteries in and place it where you want it to be – so all done from the app.
One criticism is that the instructions supplied are so ridiculously small in print that I had to resort to using a magnifying glass – so silly really!

Works well, East installation
Used this to replace single gang patress mounted mechanical restart timer.
Simple wiring with power/switched connections in my case.
The online app only allows 4 temperature set events per day which is very low. Heat up for morning and low temp while out of th4 house, and set for evening and lower again at bedtime and that’s your lot…

Easy install and intuitive app
The installation couldn’t easier. The actual controller isn’t intuitive at all but the app is super simple. For the price, this is a real bargain. Only time will tell as this is day 1

Wifi control is very handy
Simple to install providing your boiler has a thermostat input. Can set up timings and temperature levels remotely via the app.
Only goes by the temperature of the room the remote unit is in, obviously.
Update – having used it for a while now, only complaint is that the screen isnât visible from some angles which can be annoying, however I use the app more often so not a big issue.
