Autofocus issue.
I bought this lens for my Z6iii but had to return it. It kept switching from autofocus to manual focus. A shame, because at that price it’s a great lens.Update. There is now a firmware update that fixes the issue so I’ve repurchased the lens and upped my star rating. It is an excellent lens for the price.

What a cracking little lens… it’s no S Line lens, but just get it, you won’t regret it.
I took out the Nikkor 24-120mm S Line and the Viltrox 20mm on a hike.You can see for yourself the result of the image quality. I was shooting at f/5.6 all day as this is supposed to be the sweet spot and it didn’t fail to deliver. Admittedly I got a lot of images where I didn’t manage to get the whole scene in focus, so there’s a bit of trial and error to understand how best to focus this lens and not to rely too much on AF.This lens is a lot of fun, purely because of the size and the fact it’s a prime. You have to get creative with your composition and also nail your focusing, which for me, is a great thing as it helps you improve your photography.Weight: Very lightValue: InsaneSharpness: Not quite S Line sharpness, but very good once you get the focus points right.Material: Plastic, but feels very high qualityPortability: Excellent

This lens is cheap and the image quality is good, nothing else. Does not have that wow effect but works really fine, itâs small and light. I ended up returning this after trying the Nikkor 50 1.8S and thatâs an amazing lens. If youâre in a low budget and looking for a 85 FX equivalent that would do.
