Why does the 28mm lens make a sound when shaken?
When powered off, it’s normal to hear a sound when shaking the lens. This noise is caused by the new VCM motor design, which works similarly to the camera’s CMOS stabilization. The sound can occur even when the camera is not powered on.

Amazing lens
This lens is incredibly small and lives up to all the hype Iâve seen online. It weighs hardly anything and has excellent performance. Really effective walk around lens and ideal for street photography. Very happy with the purchase and incredible value for money.

+ small, slim and light+ works with APS-C body+ ease of use+ well-made even considering its footprint+ can produce sharp photos+ autofocus is fast and spot on+ there’s a bit of noise but only when it’s darker+ gives your photos “vintage” look+ will make your setup smaller+ vignetting is easy to control+ good color reproduction- almost no bokeh at f/4.5, photos look more out of focus- constant aperture of f/4.5, so you cannot change it- you have to open the lens before you turn on your camera, if you won’t do this, lens may break after prolonged use

Teeny tiny marvel
For the price of it I had to buy one, Iâve always loved the 28mm focal length and wanted something small for my A7c. It came nicely boxed and I was impressed by the build quality. Iâve taken a few shots with it so far and I have to say Iâm impressed. One shot I took you could count the hairs on the back of my hand. Autofocus isnât really close and not the fastest but overall I can see this lens spending a lot of time on my camera

This is a fun little lens that makes my A7Cii reasonably pocketable. It is obviously a lens with limited use, given the lack of zoom and the small f stop range. But it does function well as a street photography lens for a full-frame camera (you will want to crop your pictures due to vignetting and lack of zoom. The built-in lens cover switch is a great innovation. The downside is that you can’t add any filters because there are no threats.For this price, its a great addition to your camera bag for portability, for street photography, and for an emergency backup lens.

It is a unique lens. Super portable so there is no excuse for leaving it behind. And the best lens is always the one we have on us. Btw. itâs rather sharp where it needs to be. Recommended for most Sony shooters, except for some pixel peepers.
