I’ve been using the Vitesy Shelfy for a few weeks, and it’s fantastic! My fruits and veg stay fresh longer, and the bad odors are gone. Itâs super easy to use, and the battery lasts a long time when in eco mode. If you want to reduce food waste and keep your fridge fresh, this is perfect!

This is a very solid-feeling, well-engineered product, but hard to assess its anti-bacterial, food-saving properties.Initially, itâs a bit fiddly to pair with domestic WiFi for a reliable connection and charging the unit with the supplied USB-C cable seems to take an age: allow at least eight hours to fully charge.The iOS App is very informative, but occasionally clunky and prone to freezing. (Apologies for the ironic pun!) It does, however, offer seemingly invaluable data about the internal temperature and health of your refrigerator! The temperature recorded by this nifty gadget does seem to read up to a couple of degrees Celsius above a conventional mechanical fridge thermometer. A heavily-loaded fridge does seem to impair the Shelfyâs efficacy – seemingly relying on a good air-flow to the unit.The app offers useful reminders to clean the enclosed ceramic filter – easily achieved by running under clean, running water and air-drying before reassembly. The rechargeable battery seems to last 2-3 weeks in âecoâ setting – less if you select a more powerful setting. Again, the app reminds you to recharge when the charge falls below 10%.Is it worth the hefty price tag? Itâs hard to assess. Knowing more about the running temperature of a refrigerator is useful on several counts. Knowing how often the fridge door is opened is an eye-opener!Whether the enclosed fan and ceramic filter and UV LED lights actually help preserve food and reduce any odours is trickier to judge. The jury is still out.Does it change your fridge habits? Yes, it certainly makes you more aware of the efficiency and state of your largest kitchen applianceâ¦and probably helps identify any nocturnal fridge-raiders!

Fridge purifier fan
My fridge is a built in unit which does not have circulation fan so I find the temperature is uneven.As a result I bought this not so much for the filtration it contains, but more to see if the fan helps keep my fridge at a more even temperature.I have only been using it for 2 weeks but it has definitely made a difference. The fridge always had a section at the lower rear where ice would form and could build up if left. This is no longer happening.As for the filtration which is aimed to keep smells down – I never really had a problem with that previously so I can only assume it is working.Other plus points. I found the app very easy to use and the battery life is decent if used in eco mode.On the down side it does take up space and if you are using it to aid air flow as I am doing then positioning is important.

Really love this device. I can see a noticeable difference in how much longer food stays fresh in the fridge. Itâs easy to set up and use, I have seen a reduction in food waste in the time Iâve had it, which is exactly what it promised to do. Would definitely recommend

What a difference a Shelfy makes! Lol!
Due to space restrictions I only can only have a slim line uncounter fridge – so no chance buying one that comes with any of the new features standard size can come with!My fresh food just didnt last more than a couple of days before I had to bin it because Im extremely intolerant to any kind of mold! Half the time it would have mold before use by date!Bought my Shelfy during Amazon Sale & am really glad I did!My fresh food lasts at least a week now – no more mold to irritate my intolerance -amazing!Also no more smells – nowadays if theres a smell in my fridge its because Ive not realised/noticed Shelfy needs charging so its battery had run out!The app shows fridge temp/how often door is opened – also reminds me to clean filter/fridge & when it needs charging – screenshot shows Ive forgotten to clean it again – I only got myself to blame! Lol!

Battery issues etc not well explained
There’s little info about first use, whether to charge fully first. Now it need charging on highest setting every few days and it flashes all the time but this isn’t explained in troubleshooting. I am considering asking the maker before concluding i need to return my beloved Shelfie

Saw this on a TV show where they were recommending it. Thought we would take the chance and YEAH. It works very well at extending the life of fruits, vegetables and other perishables. Needs to be recharged frequently however it’s not a problem. Love this!

This definitely makes a difference. Veggies placed in the fridge, on the same shelf as this unit, definitely last longer. That fact alone means that I have saved money with this thing. Docked a star because it is a bit of pain to charge. Takes a long time. Then to get it going again, it’s not always clear if it’s working or not, I just have to feel the vent and see if it’s blowing air or not. Could be a little easier to use, but definitely worth it in my opinion.

Sto provando Shelfy di Vitesy da alcuni giorni e già penso mi sia difficile farne a meno.Shelfy è un dispositivo pensato per migliorare la qualità dell’aria all’interno del frigorifero, riducendo odori sgradevoli e aiutando a prolungare la freschezza degli alimenti. La confezione si presenta essenziale ma ben realizzata, con all’interno il prodotto, un piccolo manuale di istruzioni e il cavo di ricarica. à presente un solo filtro, ma è proprio questo il punto di forza del prodotto: non ha bisogno di filtri da sostituire in quanto è sufficiente lavarlo sotto l’acqua periodicamente (sarà l’app ad indicarvi quando) e riposizionarlo. Questo lo rende davvero pratico e a costo zero per quanto riguarda la manutenzione. Fin dai primi giorni di utilizzo ho notato una notevole riduzione degli odori all’interno del frigorifero; in particolare, quando in frigo ci sono molti odori, selezionando la modalità “performance” si nota la differenza in brevissimo tempo. La durata di frutta e verdura (per quanto dovrò ovviamente testarlo sul lungo periodo) sembra già migliorata. Anche a questo proposito c’è una modalità dedicata (crispy) che permette di prolungare ulteriormente la vita di frutta e ortaggi inserendo Shelfy nel cassettino del frigo.L’app è utilissima in quanto fornisce indicazioni sullo stato di salute del frigo, sulla temperatura interna, sulle variazioni di temperatura e sulle aperture del frigo, ma soprattutto lo fa in maniera intuitiva e con un’ottima interfaccia. A tal proposito, ciò che più mi sta piacendo di Shelfy è la maggior consapevolezza che mi sta dando sia sugli sprechi alimentari che sulle aperture inutili e troppo lunghe del frigo: vedere su un grafico quanti secondi è rimasto aperto nella giornata aiuta a fare maggior attenzione e ad aprirlo solo quando e per il tempo necessario. L’app è inoltre utile anche per quanto riguarda consigli sul posizionamento degli alimenti nel frigo.Volendo fare un appunto, sarebbe utile un aggiornamento dell’app che preveda un alert su smartphone laddove si superino ad esempio i 10 secondi di apertura del frigo, così come dei “badge” che si guadagnano quando viene ridotto il tempo di apertura. Per ora mi reputo in ogni caso ampiamente soddisfatto.

Ho deciso di acquistarlo grazie all’offerta del giorno di ottobre e dopo aver visto alcune recensioni, ho pensato: chissà risolvo il problema dell’umidità del frigo!Come potete vedere dagli screen, prima di tutto, la batteria, anche se nuova, diciamo che rispetta il dichiarato, dopo 18 giorni, potete notare che mancano 12 giorni per lavare il filtro che va lavato ogni 30, è da ricaricare, da questo punto almeno per me ok, ho letto di gente scontenta per la batteria.Qui però c’è un bug, come dice l’applicazione, i dati non verranno registrati durante la ricarica e invece non è vero, continua a registrare le temperature…Sempre sulla batteria, la % è ballerina, oggi segna 80, poi 70, poi 80 di nuovo, probabilmente è il freddo? Chissà , non è grave però sale e scende, ogni tanto si disconnette e ci vogliono anche diverse ore per farlo ricollegare, fa da solo, ma inspiegabilmente sparisce, non ci sono più le temperature in app.Dopo questi piccoli bug, che sicuramente possono essere corretti con qualche update, passiamo ai pro.Il frigorifero dovrebbe lavorare con una temperatura tra 4 e 6, io avevo il mio settato a 5, ho un Ariston al cui interno c’è un adesivo che è verde se all’interno l’ambiente è ok, onestamente il colore è sempre stato verde, sicuramente ogni tanto diventa più pallido e infatti abbassavo a 4 per poi rialzare a 5, sempre pensando alla media, 4/6, metto 5, e invece, grazie a questo dispositivo ho notato che settando 5 il frigo lavora comunque con una temperatura più alta, anche a causa delle aperture, come potete vedere i primi 3 giorni l’ho usato settato a 5 e andava ben sopra la media toccando anche 8 gradi, non fate caso ai giorni con i picchi in basso rossi, lì è il frigo quando va in modalità “spesa”, ho scoperto anche questa cosa, premendo il tasto spesa, consigliato da Ariston, il frigo abbassa drasticamente le temperature.Comunque settato poi a 4 il frigo ormai lavora molto meglio e il clima nel frigo è migliore e rispetta la media consigliata, sicuramente senza lo shelfy io avrei continuato ad usarlo settato a 5(per logica).Non ho più l’umidità di prima e anche gli odori forti sono diminuiti, sulla durata degli alimenti non so ancora, magari aggiornerò la recensione, per ora comunque a parte qualche bug software il prodotto è promosso!Batteria ok, odori ok, filtro ok(questa volta l’ho caricato in concomitanza con la pulizia del filtro, poi azzerato la conta dei giorni), resta solo da vedere meglio la durata del cibo.I punti a favore maggiore del prodotto che mi hanno spinto a comprarlo comunque sono 2:1. Il filtro che si lava all’infinito2. La batteria che si cambia in autonomiaQuindi che dire? Teoricamente è un prodotto che a meno che non si guasta in modo irriparabile, è molto molto longevo!Se vi interessa tenetelo d’occhio e acquistatelo in sconto magari! à sicuramente un prodotto che migliorerà il vostro frigo.
