Easy setup and great sound
As an ex-sound engineer, I can be a little too critical over cheaper microphones, so was interested to try this one out.Connects with the computer via USB and no drivers needed for Windows 10, so presume 11 is also good.Once selected in my recording software it worked just fine.A little more background noise rejection would have been nice, but we need to remember this is a Condenser so a quiet space is recommended when using it for voice. It did quite well picking up room sounds but you do need to be careful where you put it as it will pick up transmissive vibrations from surfaces. Some sponge under it worked well for isolation. For the price, there is little not to like.

Up there with the big names
Coming well boxed with all parts for assembly and including a pop filter this is a nice premium mic from its unboxing that’ll look great on any desk.It connects via a usb-a to a usb-b (printer style) connected which is one of the starts to showing how well designed this is for use seeing as the connection is nice and large. The 0-latency listening mic port is on the front and while this doesnt make for the best look, it does make for the best placement in use. Above the headphone port is a weighty to rotate volume dial. The microphone quality frankly is great, nice representation of proximity voice for those who prefer close up although it looses alot from small distance, nothing some gain increase cant fix but that also increases the options of background noise pick up etc.Having used the bigger brands arounnd the same price point like a razer siren and hyperx solocast this is holding its weight with the big boys by providing the same level of sound while costing far less.

Good for home use if you’re looking for something better than the built in Headset one!
This USB condenser microphone is a solid choice for beginners and casual users. It arrives in a compact package with a windshield, USB cable, and a heavy, stable stand. The stand base is impressively sturdy, weighing in at nearly 300g, which keeps the mic steady on the desk. However, it lacks rubber padding on the bottom, so it may slide or scratch surfaces if not handled carefully.Assembly is straightforwardâsimply screw the stand together, connect the mic via the included USB-B cable (though itâs only around 1 meter long), and youâre ready to go. Itâs plug-and-play on both Windows 10 and 11, with no additional drivers needed. The mic itself attaches directly to the plastic upper part of the stand, and while thereâs no suspension to prevent vibrations from traveling through the desk, itâs functional for basic recording needs. The audio quality is surprisingly crisp and clear for the price, thanks to its cardioid condenser design, which primarily picks up sounds from the front and minimizes background noise. It also features a 3.5mm headphone jack with volume control for direct audio monitoringâhandy if you prefer headphones over your computerâs speakers. While itâs not a professional-grade mic, itâs excellent for podcasting, streaming, and general voice recording. Some minor improvements, like rubber feet on the base and possibly a shock mount, would enhance the experience, but for the price, this microphone delivers solid performance.

A solid build, good sound recording.
Mic came well packed, all the parts compartmentalised within the box, everything protected from damage.I not an audio expert, but I use a lot of audio equipment for my bass guitar playing and recording audio books for family. So I write this review as a practical user rather than as a full audio analysis.Firstly, given its competitive price (£29 at the time of writing) I was impressed by the quality of the build, nothing about this mic seems cheep or nasty, the base is a good solid cast metal, the threads are excellent, assembly was extremely easy and all the connecting parts fit together beautifully. The surface finish, on all parts is very good indeed, again, nothing cheap looking or feeling here. Connection to my WIN 10 pc was entirely straightforward.I like that they included the 3.5mm socket there for monitoring, something that will have more use to me when recording my playing rather than my reading into the mic. As for the quality, it compares very well with a boom set up I used to have that cost more than four times as much, and to be honest this stand mic set up seems to take up less space. It certainly makes a good job of recording my voice.Very very pleased with the item and the results I am getting from it.

good, but not much better than built in macbook mic
This microphone looks very professional. It’s pick up is similar to my macbook built in mic, but my voice sounds a bit more natural with this one. It is certainly better than cheap microphones or those built into cheap cameras. It is wired. There is a place to plug in headphones so you can hear yourself (which would also have to be wired).

Good enough for vlogging.
I’m a YouTuber who does voice over narration on video’s occasionally, and this mic is a big step-up from what I was using before – which was the voice recorder on my android. It’s a simple plug and play operation and works perfectly on my Windows 11 pc.The mic itself is a nice size and the stand it comes with has some heft to it, so it’s reassuringly safe from accidentally being knocked over, and easy to place wherever you want to pick your voice up, without having to adjust anything.Sound wise it’s good enough for vlogging, nice and clear and did not pick up any unwanted background noise the few times I have used it – for example the heating turning itself on at home, and the washing machine running in another room.A good price at £29.99 as well (price correct at time of reviewing).Recommended.

Nice desktop mic for a quick voiceover
I keep this handy on my desk for quick voiceovers that don’t need a full studio quality recording. It avoids the need for me to get a full audio interface because it’s USB plug and play.My DAW picked it up immediately and I was recording within minutes of opening the box. The desk stand is sturdy and the foam pop guard does the job. Audio quality it perfectly fine and would be ideal for a podcaster.

I am creating screen recordings for various work tasks with my work desktop that doesn’t come with a microphone. I was able to attach this microphone easily and then my headphones onto it and just started doing voice overs for narration. The sound quality is excellent. It works best with the filter/muff. My voice is clear and the resulting video is enhanced with the crisp sound accompaniment. Love it!
Birdie –
This is a decent microphone. Just plug and play – there’s nothing to install. The sound is fine and unremarkable, which is perfectly acceptable for everyday use. The base is sufficiently heavy to keep it from tipping over, which is a big bonus point for me with cats constantly jumping on my desk to sniff around.

Good quality and easy to set up.

This is a very good deal for this microphone. However, you will have to adjust the settings a little because the mic was pretty quiet when I first plugged it in and tried to use it. The pop filter makes it even quieter. If you can get the volume right, the sound quality is very good.

Sound is good, the stand is sturdy enough and it works right out of the box without having to download any special drivers or software!
