Very easy to install and use
Using this to check that our garage door is open/shut. Set up using Smartlife app was very simple. Works well with Alexa, by asking if the the door is open or shut. I get an alert on my phone when it opens; I’ve switched off the shutting alert. Low battery alert not checked. Very reasonably priced and does the job I wanted it to do.

Easy to install and seem to work well
I liked the easy install. These were quickly spotted by the Smart Life app as soon as the batteries were inserted. A pokey tool was included to press the reset button for 5 seconds on the other, as I was too slow adding to the app the first time.Once in Smart Life, both devices appear in Home Assistant in the TuYa service and expose status (Open/Closed) and battery level. They both take two AAA batteries (included) and hopefully these will last much longer than button-type batteries in other devices. This does make the gadget much larger than others though.

Door sensor
I got this so I can know if anyone opens the door to my bedroom when Iâm not at home. The device comes with the battery and I did struggle to get the back off to get it in at first but I think Iâve mastered the technique now. I already have some lightbulbs which require the same app so itâs handy to have lots of devices all on the one app. I struggled to find the correct device to add to my account but got there in the end. Itâs connected via WiFi and once the magnetic contacts are pulled apart I instantly get a notification to tell me that the door has been opened. You can either screw these parts to the wall or just use the sticky pads that come with it.

App comes up with weak wifi, even though the sensor is 2 feet away from the wifi hub.
The sensor connects to my wifi hub but then says weak wifi on the Smart Life app. So I removed the sensor from my door and moved it next to my wifi hub, yes you guessed it, it still said weak wifi signal. So I uninstalled the app, reinstalled it and went through the setup again with the sensor sitting next to my wifi hub, it still said weak wifi signal on the app. I then removed the Smart Life app again, installed the Tuya app and went through the setup again, the same thing, weak wifi signal came up on the app, even though the sensor was sitting on my desk 2 feet away from the wifi hub. It did connect and it did work when you moved the sensor magnet, but only when it was sitting next to my wifi hub, If I moved it away, say 10 feet from the wifi hub, it didn’t work. It’s in the bin now, I wasted an afternoon of my life with it.

The absolute ‘dingos kidneys’
I needed a solution to power off an extension lead that lives in the wife’s cupboard, and powers her hairdryer and hair straighteners. Long line of fitted wardrobes, with no other mains outlets nearby – so this is the only place in the bedroom that they can be plugged in. However, I didn’t want to risk the situation where the hairdyrer accidentally gets activated while inside the cupboard and burns the house down.I could have build a clunky contraption with a high current microswitch (££), custom-cabled to the extension lead, but this is a lot neater. I use this magnetic sensor, paired (via a ‘Scene’ in the Smart Life app) with a WiFi socket adapter. It’s nuts that the ‘signal’ has to go through the Internet to their server (probably in China) and all the way back down through various hubs, switches, concentrators and cable boxes – just to turn on the hairdryer when the cupboard door is open, but IT WORKS! Usually within half a second, too.

Ordered Twin Pack, One stopped working after two months.
I ordered the twin pack of your: -SENCKIT WiFi Door Sensor: Smart Door Open/Closed Detectors, Wireless Window Sensor with App Notification Alert, Contact Sensor for Home Security, Compatible with Alexa Google Assistant (2pack)These were ordered on 18th July 2024. I ordered these so that I could install one on my front door and one on my conservatory door. One of the units will now not work, and has not done so now for around a month. The other unit is still working fine. I understand that the returns window has now closed with Amazon, how do I get a replacement. I have contacted the email address on the box, but they say that they are not the seller?

Nice addition to my smart home security
Had something like this before from another manufacturer but it failed when the batteries ran out. Decided to replace with a different manufacturer. This device also uses the Smart Life app which was an important specification to me as I wanted to avoid using another proprietary app to manage all these devices.Easy to pair up with the 2.4ghz WiFi and all done and dusted in a matter of minutes.Works well and is a tad faster to provide notifications to my phone when compared with my old sensor which was 2 years old.I opted for using these to monitor my home as they are not expensive and can easily expand using many different sensors from a wide range of manufacturers.

Does what it’s meant to do. An im just using the free service!
There is options to enhance the alerts but the basic works fine enough. Pings my phone when they open or close can’t ask for more. I have decent WiFi an the alerts are very timely to the action kinda thing. So not sure if other people that have had issues might be the WiFi connection. Ten out of ten.

Easy setup via the smartlife app. A bit of delay with notifications is as expected with wifi connectivity. Works well with Google Home.

Facile à mettre en route.Après un an de fonctionnement, hormis les piles à changer régulièrement, je dirais tous les 6 mois environs.Je recommande ce capteur.
