below terminals 1 and 2 Connect to a gas boiler . Terminals 3 and 4 and connect to AC95 ~ 240 V power .
Terminals 5 and 6 are for an external sensor，Do not connect anything there.
Remarks: carefully read the wiring diagram before connecting. If it connects badly, there will be a short circuit. Your gas boiler board will be damaged!

Cheap but powerful
Bought this to replace a basic thermostat to a Potterton boiler. During installation, I needed to add an insulated live wire from terminal 4 to terminal 1 so that when the thermostat demand switches ON there is a live to power the boiler. Check your boiler takes mains (should do) or it could be costly. If this means nothing, get a pro installer.Looks sleek with a standard pattress box in the wall to house the gubbins. Mounting plate slides not twists and you may need to prize the 4 metal retainers open a little with pliers so that it slides back on.App setup is straight forward enough but additionally, you must verify your phone number in profile before setting the Alexa skill or it won’t pair. Alexa picks up the thermostat automatically no need to search. Ask Alexa to set temperature to x degrees and it works perfectly. Love it, and such good value at around 40 quid.

Easy diy fit after a bit of research and manufacturer advice on wiring
switched from manual Honeywell thermostat , had to add a bridge wire as mine only had 3 wires and the newby needs 4 . A single back box is also required , i went for 40mm depth . Works a treat , the daily scheduling / programming needs some concentration to understand 🙂 . But other wise well impressed for the cost and ease of fitting ðððððð

Great product whilst it worked
Initial install was relativly easy and setting up the WiFi went well. Software supplied was a little basic but worked as expected. One small bug is that your day setting must start and stop within the same day. i.e. If your like me who often go to sleep at 1am, you cant have the last setting of the day to finish at 12:30 am as it confuses the schedule and puts you into the wrong schedule. There is no documentation on this but was easy enough for me to work around. Also once set up, create Automated programs and intergrating with Google assistance worked well.The reason for the 1 star is after 5 months of use, the screen is no longer working. Can still operate through the App. I would expect a product that sits on a wall and hardly gets touch to last longer so makes it very dificult to recommend.

Good product but the phone app needs improvements
Good reliable thermostat. A few changes to the phone app would make it a lot better, but there’s no one to tell. For example the flame ð¥ sign which indicates the boiler is giving out heat only shows when in manual mode not in program mode. I don’t know what the economy button does. It could have a button to put it on for say 2 hours only then go back as it was.

Excellent Product
I have just bought and fitted a 2nd one of these after buying one to try and finding it was excellent.Easy to install just a note that to release the LCD front panel in order to fit the unit they say “Rotate it” which is a bit confusing.What you need to do is holding the back of the unit apply upward pressure to the front LCD casing and it will slide up and give a click as it releases. You are then left with the front LCD on the end of a flexi cable. Some sort of quick and easy release would have been a good idea so you don’t break the cable by accident when fitting. There is a cable connector on the main body but it is very delicate and I would not try to release using that.Apart form that it is a great product for the price and works well with Amazon Alexa using the TUYA smart app.

Great addition to any smart home
This is a great product, it works seemless with Alexa, the smart life app is very good to control the heating from your phone, the thermostat looks great and it was easy to install, the instructions were not very clear, but installation was self explanatory. NOTE the thermostat needs to be hardwired to the boiler it is not wireless

Had to ask advice from electrician re wiring but once done itâs spot on.Looks really modern n smart n works via the app perfect and so easy .to use . Itâs a fraction of the price of other smart thermostats .The aftersales was spot on aswell , they helped me with wiring . Top marks

Failing after a few months
Physically easy to install but wiring it up was an experimental pain as the manual is very sketchy. 5 differing attempts with the wiring, including link wires between terminals, between the boiler and thermostat and it worked! The old fashioned, 2.4GHz, wi-fi connection is a pain so we use it manually on the touchscreen. Now, after 4 months of perfect use, the screen is failing and it’s timechip is failing by about 10 minutes per day. Very disappointing. I was thinking of buying a 2nd thermostat for upstairs but will have to look elsewhere.
