Had this little gem for a few days , works great , except for distance . You have to be close up.to scan , but with the lanyard I never have to worry about where I’ve left it. Cheap alternative to those pricy scanners.

This is a good portable barcode scanner that reads all types of barcode and QR codes.For those that do “FBA” arbitrage this is an invaluable tool that you can link to your apps to scan items when out hunting for bargains.I work in IT so found it easy to set up but others may have to study the manual (which could be better) or watch the videos that are attached to the listing.Once you have it up and running you’ll not go out without it!

I purchased this and mounted it to my tablet using 3M VHB as a means to be able to conveniently scan equipment tags. the scanner is nice and compact and readily scans barcodes in pretty much any orientation.I only wish they made a version which held the USB adapter inside itself and had a flat back instead of rounded to make affixing it easier

I struggled at first due to lack of instructions. Reading 1D barcodes is all about getting the right distance. Otherwise everything you need / want to do is in the menu. The LCD screen provides a great way to verify the scan especially when using inventory mode. Overall great product.

Works well enough for about an hour, then the battery goes dead. Have to use with an external battery. Tried all of the support fixes. They don’t work. Very subpar battery. Will be looking for a different one.

When I Requested this Product, I was interested in the Device to help Inventory Products I use in my home each Month. Also, for Insurance-Type stuff. But, this has some other uses that I can’t think of, and some that I have found could be useful. Really, it is the Applications that you choose. I didn’t know how many Bar Code Reading Apps are out there. So, I may choose a couple to meet my needs in different areas of Home, Business, Shopping, or Organizing Activities. Having the Power of a Scanner like this, but small enough to fit in your pocket will change how I can use Bar Codes.PROS:If you’re just starting a Business, and you’re looking for tools and infrastructure to get your business started and organized. You’re looking for another employee, here you go. The equipment that you’re using is very important. They are the equivalent of another employee collectively. Just being efficient at any part of the Job, is saving you time and money. You will find other uses, after your primary reason has been fulfilled. It has the best Lanyard, too. It was easy to set this Scanner up. Setting and changing the settings, just by scanning them is so easy. Very few buttons to worry about, too.CONS:I like that it has a small size, but hopefully in a busy environment, you wouldn’t lose track of it. I would make a Station or Drawer for this. I was a little difficult to get started, and what Modes I wanted to choose. But, after I learned how it works, I was amazed. Your Phone or Tablet is your screen, it is not on the Device.A VIEW FROM OUTSIDE THE BOX:This doesn’t have to just be used for a business. You could also take inventory of the items in your home for insurance purposes. Create barcodes for each individual item. Antique Furniture, can have a bar code somewhere like inside a drawer. You can also Barcode individual parts of something. Fill a Bin full of inventoried Items, give it a Bar Code. Scan the Bar Codes on a stack of Bins, and know what is inside of each Bin, without pilling them down or opening them. I would need to make copies of the Instruction Manual Barcodes, and laminate them. Many of the Items on the Clearance Shelves don’t have Prices. I can quickly scan them and get the prices. Also, it helps to know what type of scanning, or project that you want to use this for. It helps when you are choosing APPS, to know what features you are looking for, there are so many to choose from.
