Solid and versatile, difficult to accurately adjust
Well made and the powder coating looks thick enough to survive life in the weather for many years. Supplied with hardware to fix it to a rainwater downpipe or that plate can be removed to screw it to a flat surface.Much is made of the adjustable angle so if the mounting surface or pipe isn’t vertical by loosening a couple of bolts the angle can be adjusted. Correct – it can. But there are clickstops and adjusting it precisely to a position between the clickstops is very fiddly, particularly up a ladder when wielding a spirit level as well.Also when screwing it to a surface, there are slotted holes for up and down adjustment but no slotted holes to allow for any rotation adjustment to get the pole pointing vertically upright which would have been useful.

These J-poles are very nicely finished in bright white paint. They are extremely sturdy and come with a wide range of fittings to attach them to just about any surface.They can support considerable weight due to the very positive action of the detent mechanism holding them at the desired angle.Highly recommended.
