Google account security renders it useless
Poor product because of Google TV. If you buy be prepared to be plagued by Google account issues. Regularly signed out of Google account and getting past the “I am not a robot” is seemingly impossible as the remote control refuses to interact with the stupid grid over the picture of traffic lights. Google account is more intrusive on this device than any other android device I’ve ever owned.

For the price very good. Very fast and plays everything thrown at it.No BBC iPlayer but I already have that. 5.1 sound on HDMI throughput.

No iPlayer and only stereo pcm
It’s ok for the big streaming services such as Netflix, but you can’t install iPlayer even side loaded.The multi channel PCM audio output is limited to two channel so for Plex / Kodi any 5.1+ AAC media will get output as stereo. There is a good level of support for HDMI audio pass through formats so DD DTS etc all work. Streaming games using Moonshine will also not allow PCM 5.1 output either. Moonshine also locks up when using HEVC codec after a few minutes.
