Handy set of Yale Linus Dot accessories that work perfectly
This pack of three Yale Linus Dot accessories is just what I needed to complete my smart lock setup. Theyâre well made, look neat and match the main device perfectly in black. Installation was straightforward and theyâve worked reliably since day one.Having these extras means I can control and monitor access easily, which is great for peace of mind. Theyâre small but solidly built and fit well on the door without getting in the way.If you have a Yale Linus smart lock and need extra accessories, this pack is a good buy.

Waste of time
This product is a complete sham. It literally says on the box that it enables the door to the locked/unlocked without opening the app, but this is completely false. On their support page online it then explains that on both iOS and Android the phone must be unlocked first and then it opens the app to the Lock Screen and then un/locks it. On iOS itâs even worse as you have to tap the push notification first. So Iâm not entirely sure what this device actually achieves. Itâs completely misleading. I suspect they didnât actually think about the limitations of NFC functionality on phone devices before making the product. Itâs a complete and utter waste of plastic quite frankly. Iâll be retuning the product without hesitation.

Yale Dot â A Frustrating Waste of Time!
I have the latest iPhone with the most up-to-date software, so I know for sure the issue isnât my phone. The problem is simpleâthe Yale Dot just doesnât work as advertised. The product claims that all I have to do is tap my phone on the Dot to open the door. Sounds great in theory, right? Wrong. In reality, I end up tapping 10 times, then waiting for the app to open, then waiting again for it to connect to the phone, then being asked to open the app manuallyâonly then can I finally unlock the door⦠and still have to manually open it.What should be a seamless, quick process is actually a slow, frustrating, and completely pointless experience.Honestly, donât waste your money. If I hadnât already stuck them onto my doors, I would have returned them for a refund.

Maybe itâs my fault but I thought tapping the dot would unlock the door. All it does is open the app to then unlock the door which via the app and with the home hub is pretty glitchy but as an early adopters of tech Iâll persevere

The product description is very brief and not conclusive as always with Yale products. My intended use was to place one of these on the outside of the door to enable easy unlocking through my phone. But it turns out that it can only be paired with one phone. As we are several people in our family we would need to mount one Dot for each person which doesnât make sense.
