Worth it
Why not get this for your shed or garage? This alarm is so simple and so cheap, it would be silly not to get one as an added security measure.I got this for my lock up as it is the simpleset way to add an alarm deterrant. The alarm systems that use a sensor stuck on the door/window, that once moved from the alarm system acitvate it, just wouldn’t quite work on my garage door. This Yale alarm, lets me put it anywhere I wan’t. The sound level is loud. At 100db it would be enough to wake you up or irritating enough to put someone off.You of course need to put this somewhere that would activate it early, which then means its position can also make it obvious. So positioning it well is probably the hardest part.Something I don’t like about this alarm is that when it’s activated it sends off a loud beep and flashes a red light once. This will happen if everytime you go in to your own shed/garage/lock up which is a nice reminder that you have an alarm to disarm but this feature also tells someone who’s property it isn’t, that there’s an alarm and can also locate where it is from the red light beep. I have put tape over the light area.I also don’t like that when I enter my code each button beeps loudly. I don’t really want to tell everyone I feel the need to put an alarm in my garage.I still think this alarm is 5 stars, just because for under £20 it could be the deterrant that sends someone on there way. My solution to the alarm being easily found is to buy a second one and have 2 alarms get actived from very separate postiions, that way one is bound to be going off if they bother looking for the other. This still works out as cheap security. The operation is simple to use, to set a code, to arm it and to disarm it. You have 30 seconds from arming it to lock up and 10 seconds from activating it when entering to disarm it with your pin.Great, inexpensive alarm.

Good layer of security for the price
I have three of these. They are easy to install and my original one works well and gives some peace of mind. The other two haven’t been as good as the keys have become sticky, I don’t know why, maybe because they aren’t used as much. You press a button, nothing seems to happen, so you press again and it then records two pushes and you lose track of how much of the code you have entered the alarm goes off. Sometimes you can re-enter the code and it is ok but they probably need replacing.Overall good for the price but the buttons can be temperamental

Simple to use and it works well
Well done Yale, itâs about time a manufacture came up with a small cost-effective, stand-alone very load alarm, with large easy to read key code entry ideal for sheds and garages. Love it, walk in, enter the four-digit code and its disarmed. Push number 4 to set the alarm and walk away. Thumbs up from me. I have bought three other key code alarms and a couple of fob operated alarms over the years at the £12 – 15 range. all cheaply made and unreliable, all failed for various reasons. This is by far the best of the bunch!

Highly recommended
This alarm has been an outstanding addition to my home security setup. Installation was a breeze. I had it up and running in no time, with no need for any complicated wiring. The sensor is highly sensitive and what I appreciate most is the alarm’s loud, piercing soundâitâs powerful enough to deter any potential intruders. Overall, this is a high-quality security device that delivers on its promises. If you’re looking to secure your garage or shed without any hassle, I highly recommend this wireless alarm system.

Great product.
Purchased for garage. Easy installation. Very easy to set up. Instructions clear and easy to follow. Alarm sound very loud. Only thing would comment on is that the alarm activates about 30 secs after door opened and garage entered. Expected alarm to start quicker ? Looks good and hopefully will do its job but hope not needed. For the price great value.

The Yale alarm worked fine with four batteries installed. It also is supposed to work with a 4.5V center positive polarity power supply; unfortunately, the Yale alarm immediately became hot and started melting using that method! The power supply was immediately disconnected from an electrical outlet since I wasn’t going to wait and see if the Yale alarm actually caught on fire.If you only plan to use batteries, you’ll probably be fine.
